Good morning all a horrid wet day here so indoor jobs take precedence and sitting reading with a coffee take precedence over jobs!Β
Sorry to hear OH is suffering Rubee. Hope today is better.Β
    Happy Birthday to Hazels son.Β
Lovely snowy photos from Ante and good to see Max on the mend.Β

    Hello all.

    Happy birthday to Hazel's son.

I'm sorry your OH was suffering from his arthritis @Rubee. I know how you must feel as my OH suffers from his hip. Did I say his angiogram scan was OK, but now they want to do lung function tests before he has his hip replacement?Β

Late start today. I woke at 6am, thought "bother", went back to sleep and was woken by Son 2 on the phone at 8.30am. He was on his way to work and felt like a chat. Then a friend rang to say they'd sold their house and were moving back to England, Somerset, to be near their son. They sold their house quite quickly to a young couple from Bordeaux. It has a huge garden. Then I had a shower, then OH rang. Only just had brekkies. Must get in some more logs before the stove goes out.

Yesterday afternoon I had to go to the Post Office so I had a wander around town. I've hardly been into the town since I moved here. It had been market day in the morning so hardly anyone was there in the afternoon. The few people there were all wearing masks. I haven't been to the market for months, avoiding it.

There was a lovely little haberdashery, loads of fabric for patchwork and trimmings and buttons etc. Really old fashioned. I bought some curtain lining as the black out stuff I bought in the big fabric shop in the big town is too heavy for my curtain material. I'll make a separate black out curtain with it to hook on in summer if necessary, especially when Daughter 1 comes to stay as she likes her room pitch black.

    Afternoon all,

Marti is in permanent residence here today :( The unintended pond is full to the brim and everywhere completely sodden.

Good afternoon everyone. I have done quite a bit of knitting today. Handy brother has accepted an offer on his house so it is all systems go now. I've just finished loading a lot of larg(ish) cardbord boxes from Bestie's family members, into the boot of my car ready to take down tomorrow. I've also put my other brother's birthday present into the car too - only so I don't forget anything first thing. Marti has finally departed from here Biglad but it is FREEZING outside now. The flood in the Cres. could turn into an ice rink! I now have 4 new panels in situ. Next door neighbour fitted them on Thursday whilst I was at Bestie's and as I got home in the dark I didn't spot them until Friday morning. He has done a great job so far - can't thank him enough.
Busy, one step forward then another step back for your OH - so frustrating for you both. I share your love of haberdashery shops. I can root about in them forever. I'm the same in that famous DIY store as well!
Hazel, it seems as though your son has had a great birthday and how nice that you could spend so much time playing with 23. He will have loved that.

p.s. Hazel, I've just seen an advert on TV for one of your favourite shops - the one where you got your new vase - sale on until 23rd January!

Good luck to your brother, LB, with the move.

It's been quite rainy today. This afternoon I've been doing stuff I can't mention on here. Dirty but not cheeky!
