Morning all. A nice sunny one and OH has gone to his mates to faff with karts. Not sure what I'm doing - maybe some bits with m'home as we may be giving it a run to London for a couple of days this week. Partly to relieve the boredom of January and partly to see if the meeces did any more damage before we head off for a longer trip.

Hello all. Had a nice visit with rellies and had a lovely surprise as there was another birthday present waiting for me from my nieces and nephews. Its a beautiful Swarovski (other brands are available) bracelet. They know that I love my bling.
Chive, my brother's birthday was actually on the 5th but I wasn't seeing him until today. I love your flatbreads too. Are they little sprigs of rosemary in them. I bet it smelt lovely in your kitchen. How did the curry making go?
Ruby, its good to hear that your OH had a better night last night. I think if you are tired it only adds to the misery.
T'Bird, everything crossed here that the m'home doesn't disintegrate owing to meece munching.
I am looking forward to watching the new David Attenborough series, The Green Planet, which starts tonight.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB, what a nice surprise from your nieces and nephews. I'm glad that you had a lovely time with rellies.
Chive, your flatbreads look wonderful. They also must be delicious.
It's not sunny anymore. Suddenly it get cloudy, cooler and snow is drizzling. Forecast for tomorrow is quite bad. Well, it's lunch time. I leave worries for later.
Chive the flatbread look very tempting, enjoy your curry.Β LB it's good that your neighbour is putting your panels up, hopefully protect you from the wind.Β Busy I'm glad oh had a good r result from the angiogram.Β LB I'm looking forward to the new series too.Β I visited today and back home to remove cat fur from the rug, long haired cats do mould alot.Β Enjoy the rest of your day.Β Hazel don't overdo it.Β Topbir d I do hope your m home will be good for the journey.Β Is your neighbours cat still visiting?Β It's been raining and then sing spells here Lily.Β Ante I hope you and Max have enjoyed a walk together.

I hope the unmentionables are going well, windows are terrible with the sun on them all is revealed π³ Topbird Nice to have a potter round while OH is out, fingers crossed for the motor home running without any more issues, good idea to try a shorter journey as a test run, Ante Brrr it definitely sounds like an indoor day for you, hope you have a nice afternoon,Β Bluebells Glad you had a nice visit this morning, there must be a lot of Alfieβs fur to remove, I know how much Nel leaves behind on her cushion π Fire is lit itβs time for a cuppa, have a good afternoon everyone.Β
LB what a lovely gift from your nieces and nephews I'm sure you will enjoy wearing the bracelet.Β I hope your brother has a good day.Β It is good to catch up.Β Chive good to hear of mums progress.Β Hazel I often go round with a feather flick just in case or when I remember which could be a while ago.Β I best check:). Alfie has been sitting on my lap for quite some time and is now asleep.
We had beautiful sunshine earlier, but now its getting dark. It was quite chilly just now when I put the bin out.Β @Chivetalking those flatbread look yummy.Β I slept really well thank you. @Ladybird4 what a lovely gift. And a lovely surprise too. @Topbird do hope the Motorhome will be ok and no more pesky mice damage.Β
I put the Christmas decorations up in the loft, they'd been in their boxes in the utility room. I did some more unpacking of boxes while I was there, found some curtain lining, just when I've bought some! Also found Daughter 1's napkin ring that she was asking about. It was in a box marked utility room. It should have been in the dining room sideboard.
Old houses always have cobwebs, mine show up when the sun is shining, which it isn't today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Low winter sun is the worst for showing up mucky windows and bright lights are the worst for showing up cobwebs.Β
I often lie in bed with the bedside lamps shining at the ceiling and I can see cobwebs that become totally invisible the next morning. I've been known to get out of bed to flick them away when they've missed a few daytime attemps. I've got a feather flicker too Rosie. It's actually an ancient nylon thing in hideous colours bought years ago for about Β£1.99 in IKEA but it does a good job.Β
LB what a lovely belated b'day surprise for you. You'll be able to wear it at your Aussie wedding if you make it to Down Under.π
