    Morning Dove and SGL
SGL, your sky sounds wonderful but remember the old saying about red sky in the morning. True to form my sky is somewhat grey and dismal but its still early so it could get better. I think I may go to a GC if its not too dire. I need some more orchid compost but I will check in the GH in case I have some stashed away in there. I have a money off coupon to be used up at my favourite local GC.

    Morning all,

Bloke has just arrived to replace eldest's windscreen so the week's plans have started well. Let's see how long that lasts ;)

I've got a dentist appointment this afternoon, which will be the first since 2019 :o Variety of reasons - mainly Covid, but also my old dentist committed suicide during lockdown and his practice shut down without me knowing.

Morning Ruby (you snuckered in there!), Chive and Biglad. Good grief Biglad, that is shocking news about your old Dentist. Mine just decided to retire in 2020 and I still haven't been able to sign on with another one which is a total nuisance.
p.s. BTW Biglad, has your OH spotted the gaggle of Aloe Vera you now have?

Hey @Ante30 there has just been a little trailer of Monty's programme this week on TV and he is interviewing a gardener in Croatia whose name is .... Ante! Is there something you haven't told us????

It was a shock @Ladybird4. He was only a shade older than me and had been my dentist for about 30 years. We got on really well. Obviously, my appointment during the first lockdown got cancelled and then I heard the terrible news in the summer of 2020. All patients were transferred to another practice but the letter that was apparently sent never made it as far as my letterbox!

I only found out when I went into the 'new' practice a couple of months ago to ask if they new anything about my dentist's practice. They replied that I was now their patient. If I hadn't gone to have a nosy, I'd never have known.

She hasn't said anything about the new plants yet. Told you that she wasn't very observant :DΒ

    Hello all.

The sky is end to end cloud.
I have a tummy ache, don't know why, having a quiet day. Had long chats with 2 friends who rang and OH.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Well it was my turn for a power cut today - one and a half hours long. Just made myself a reviving cuppa as I was desperately in need of a brew.
Biglad, that is so sad. My Dentist was something similar - 30 years of tending my teeth and I was gutted when he told me at my final scale and polish in 2020 that he was going. I was too shocked to ask if he could recommend another Dentist to me.
Busy, I hope that your tummy ache settles soon - its all that climbing into your loft!
I went to check in the GH today and the Usain Bolt of the meece family was dashing around madly on the bottom layer of the staging. Wish I could move so quickly!
