Good morning Ruby, RosieBB, Hazel, Dove, SGL and Chive.
Ruby, I've been outside but it is still a bit too wet here to be able to work out there.
Hazel, hope that your granddaughter gets well soon. I guess we are all going to have to get used to just living with Covid like we did with 'flu.
Chive, I don't think it is interfering for you to contact your cousin. Age UK run befriending services in many areas and there could be one close to your Auntie. There may be useful contacts here:
I've just become aware of a chap called Fabricant explaining to us mere mortals why the latest leaked garden party was within the rules. Unfortunately, today has become a day filled with frustration, rage, disgust and hatred.
Not good for your blood pressure Biglad! Don't waste too much energy feeling rage, its a waste of your valuable time. Vent it on bashing your fence into submission.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hazel I'm sorry to hear about your granddaughter.Β I hope she'll soon be testing negative and feeling better.Β Lily I'm glad you slept it makes such a difference.Β I hope ohs physio appmt went well.Β Chive I don't think it's interfering either.Β I think LBs suggestion is a good idea which may make her feel better.Β LB I hope you're having a pampering afternoon I used some body cream helianthus with aloe Vera and relaxing in my dressing gown after going to the sm in the morning.Β I've ordered a new tablet coming this week so if you see a msg u don't recognise it will be me on my iPad and probably bluebellsintherain on my mini tablet so you may see both.Β Β
Afternoon everyone, what a damp & dismal day itβs been,Β @Ladybird4 Thank you very much for that link that has been so helpful. I contacted my cousin and have forwarded the information to him to see what help could be given to his mum. It is such a delicate situation, I didnβt want to sound as though I was questioning his care for his mum, but I know that he has a lot to manage so this was perfect πΒ
Hazel, sorry to hear that your granddaughter has covid. I'm sure that she will soon be better and test negative.Β
Chive, I'm so glad that you handled this situation very well. Like you said, it's always delicate when you must intervene.
It's still quite awful outside. Wind ripped out one telephone pole in my street. Luckily, it doesn't affect my lines. I had one small surprise when delivery man came and brought my pets supplies. Didn't expect that anyone will drive on this weather, but he said that his boss demanded that all of them go out and drive. Felt sorry for that man. Tonight, I'll skip my tea and have cup of warm milk.
Glad that you feel better Biglad. I am trying to decide what colour - if any - I want to stain my new fence. I need to look at wood stains.
Chive, I do know what you mean about your cousin's situation. You have to tread very gently around the subject. I hope that he can find something that wil suit your Auntie.
Ante, how very scary that a telephone pole was blown down. Glad it hasn't affected your lines. I hope that the driver who delivered your pet food got safely home to base after he had done his rounds.

Indeed - yesterday was a good day

My hammering may have been a touch over enthusiastic

I hope a solution can be found for your auntie, Chive.
I woke at 7am this morning, intended to get up but went back to sleep for a couple of hours.
I have done the weekly SM shop, fridge was pretty empty.
It's been a nice sunny day, frost this morning. I did an hour's weeding in the veg garden this afternoon, but it's pretty wet.
Tummy ache is much better, but not quite gone.
