T'bird, I hope that all problems are fixed now. Sorry to hear that it was so expensive damage.
Hazel, I didn't have a clue that Monty filmed and Adriatic gardens. I googled it a bit and second episode is in Croatia. I'll not spoil it for you, but one part was filmed in "Camellia" town.
SGL, I hope that you get some decent rest last night.
It's freezing outside, -1β. My pond surface is icy. I really don't know what to do today, tea first ofcourse, but later I don't know.
Hello all β¦ there was a sharp frost in the night but itβs raining now and all the thick rime has disappeared. It looks as if we have a grey day ahead β¦ doesnβt look like gardening weather β¦ I suggest everyone keeps warm and dry and finds something to do indoors β¦Β Whatever it is enjoy the day everyone β¦ hopefully mouse-free πΒ
Gardening in Central NorfolkΒ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Hazel, I hope that your son has a great day and that '23' is ready for the wrapping paper ripping!
Ante, I am looking forward to seeing the next programme with Monty. Recommended for today unless anything is urgent, feet up, lots of tea, reading and TV.
Ruby, sorry to hear that your OH had a miserable night. This cold, damp weather doesn't help either.
SGL, glad to hear that you got back to sleep.
Chive, Malaysian curry is one of my favourites. If there is any left you can send it down the tunnel with Al.
I went to 'sco at 07:30 this morning - it was marvellous, well apart from the weather. It was absolutely sheeting down and I had to drive through the flood in the Cres. to get onto my drive on my return. Good old council has not yet responded to either mine or my neighbour's alerts about the blocked road drain. Busy, we need you over here with your plunger!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Marti is in permanent residence here today The unintended pond is full to the brim and everywhere completely sodden. As a result that pesky final fence panel is currently still in the back porch
I'm working on the basis that getting it bone dry before sanding and painting the exposed ends means it is in better able to brave the elements. It's probably still going to be a tight fit so even slight swelling from being soaked wouldn't help when I finally put it in. It's making extra use of the underfloor heating anyway Β
As soon as I get a window of dry weather I'll get it outside, re-attach the two end batons and, finally, chuck it behind the shed!

LB, I'll take your advices very seriouslyπ. It's nice and warm in the house, but outside is freezing. I'm glad that you visit to SM went smoothly.
Rubbe, I'm so sorry to read that you OH felt such pain last night. I hope that he is better now.
