RosieBB, I am pretending that my 'white covering' which is hailstones, is snow because I do like to see a bit of snow at this time of year.

Evening everyone, Brrr we’ve had a snow flurry too this afternoon but thankfully the ground was too wet for it to settle, little people were very excited!

  • LB it's forecast more snow it can look lovely but quite difficult underfoot.  I'm glad you made  it home safely.   I hope your brother has a good birthday.  Chive Alfies been snuggled for most of the day.  Thank you.  He's very fond of his food, although I had to spend the night on the sofa with him.  Debs i hope your daughters antibiotics soon take effect.  Hazel is oh feeling better now?
  • Evening everyone,
@Songbird-1 soon got warm and dry once home thank you. I was snuggled on the sofa watching the last couple of episodes of Around the world in 80 days......David Tennant as Phileas Fogg. Sorry you had a broken nights sleep too.
@Biglad glad the engineer arrived and fixed the boiler 👍
@Chivetalking Aww can just imagine the look on the little ones faces seeing the snow falling. ❄❄
@debs64 glad you're feeling a bit better, but sorry to hear your daughter is feeling poorly too today.
@Ladybird4 how lovely your neighbour is fixing your fence. Hope he didn't get too cold, it's been a very chilly day today. Brrrrrrr

It's been another mild day here with some rain in the afternoon.

I went to the big fabric shop this afternoon. It advertises ready made curtains (poor choice), curtain rails (hardly any and not what I wanted) and curtain materials. There were loads of huge rolls of fabric, rather like a fabric warehouse. I bought some rufflette and curtain lining.

I needed 3 curtain rails so I went to a huge DIY shop, Leroy Merlin. They had just what I wanted and I bought some grey velvet curtains for the sitting room. The sitting room has the previous owners' curtains but I think their cat must have liked running up them.

  • Morning everyone.
Slept quite well, but have been awake since just after 5.30. Have come down for a cup of tea. Hope you're all still fast asleep.

Morning @star gaze lilyand all to follow. A little sprinkle of snow last night looks very pretty but I have a downhill walk to bus stop this morning so hope it’s not too difficult underfoot.
Cold has turned into a sore throat and difficult to talk so work should be fun but I don’t feel unwell at all and testing negative so going in. We are understaffed and busy so got to do my bit hopefully the masks will protect others from any germs.

Good Morning SGL and Debs. It is much milder this morning than it was last night - and its drizzling. SGL, I've got my first cup of Nectar of the Gods. Lily has been fed and is sitting next to me wondering if she can sit on the laptop again.
Debs, hope that today goes smoothly and that your sore throat eases soon.
