Don't worry @Ladybird4 - I'll bore you to death with it today :D

Other than the delightful reminder text at 7.35am this morning :o, no indication yet of when they will arrive within the 12-6pm window. Tick-tock :(

I've had a moderately successful morning - loads of little jobs done.

Amongst that (all being well), that pesky, final fence panel will be ready to squeeze in soon. Having partially dismantled it to be able to saw a couple of cms off the width, I've used my sander (for the first time :)) to tidy it up. Any bare wood sections have been painted (not quite the same colour as it was dipped in but it'll do for behind the shed) and, once it is dry, I just need to re-attach the support batons at one end. If it doesn't slot in now, I'll probably lose the plot :s

  • Back from SM and have just had a sandwich and a cup of tea.
It was dry and not that cold when I went this morning. Got the few bits I needed and by the time I came out of S'burys it was pouring with rain and very chilly. Brrrrrrr. Thankfully didn't have to wait too long for bus,  but got rather wet on the walk home.
    Thank you LB.
Hope you get the fence sorted soon @Biglad it's very chilly out there today.
@Rubee sorry OH will have to wait a bit longer. Do hope he's not in too much pain. Enjoy crocheting

A light covering of snow but a sunny afternoon.  Lily I hope your sleep tonight.  Chive I hope you had a good day.  LB take care on the paths.  Hazel it's cold here too even though sunny.  Busy well done with your shopping.  Debs I hope you'll feel better soon. Anteenjoy spending time at the cottage.  Keep warm.

Afternoon folks,  Are the bulbs you planted showing @Dovefromabove
Been a bit off the hooks today as after a disagreement with Firstborn yesterday I decided to take down the rest of the decorations and move all the furniture around in the lounge.  Not my best idea.
Bestie came round for a coffee this morning but we decided to pop out to Webbs and have a look in their post Christmas sale.  Bought a few Christmas decorations at half price and we had a sugared waffle with bananas, ice cream and salted caramel sauce.  Not good for the waistline but very yummy.
Watched the Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion programme (HP is my guilty pleasure) Can't believe it's 20 years since the first film never mind the first book release.

    Afternoon all,

I'm sure you'll all be relieved to hear that the BG engineer actually turned up this time. Service done and I won't mention it again (well for another 12 months, anyway ;))

Another batch of bulbs planted. About 60 left, which I'll bung in the front garden tomorrow.

Afties all. Woo hoo the engineer has been and done for you Biglad. As you say, phew for another year! My first new panel is in and looks fantastic. Just needs staining now. Whilst I was chatting over the fence to the neighbour's I became aware very quickly that I was getting uncomfortably cold out there. It is now 3°C outside so I reckon it will be seriously frosty tonight.
Yvie, another big HP fan here. Just loved the books, the films the reunion everything. Still reckon Hermione should have married Harry though.
Oh my goodness, there is a major hailstorm going on here now. Battering the windows and door.

Good afternoon everyone feeling a lot better which was a good thing as I was on unexpected nanny duties as middle daughter was very poorly and had to go to doctor. She is on antibiotics which unfortunately will mean a delay in her first treatment for MS. There would be an overlap which could be dangerous.
Still a bit stuffed up but otherwise fine ready to go back to work tomorrow.
very cold here but no rain hail or snow thankfully

Hello Debs, sorry to hear about your daughter. Its a shame her MS treatment will be held up but it is better that she be clear of any infection before that I suppose.
Its quite white outside now - looks very seasonal.
