Afternoon all,  Cold and sunny here.  Looks nice from the sitting room but I'm not intending to go out there today.  The fire is roaring in the wood burner as we are trying to keep the central heating costs down a little. Last two boxes of deccies have been taken down the cellar so we are all back to normal now.  Stay warm and safe everyone.

  • Topbird it's cold breezy and sunny here.  I'm just back from sm, not too busy.  Visited and then back home to unpack, not too bad underfoot, although roofs and verges frosty.  Sun low in the sky.  Biglad enjoy your endeavours in the garden.  LB very sweet pic of snoopy and woodstock.  Chive it was good to get some fresh air but rather cold.

Back from the bank run - very pleasant 4km stroll in the sunsheeine ;) Easier going than returning though. I often wonder whose stupid idea it was to live half way up a hill :o

I've returned to find that I've now got more running-around-a-field duties next Tuesday and an offer of a job. That'll teach me for leaving the house :(

Afties all. I have just got in from my neighbour's garden. He wanted to cut some branches off one of my trees so that when he gets the new panel it will lift in with ease. I am so happy about this as I have been wanting to chop them down myself for years but being vertically challenged I was finding it impossible to reach. However, standing outside, it was ab-so-lute-ly Baltic and my hands have gone into dead spider mode.
I did use Lily's TV earlier on and my wet things are still outside. I'll leave them a bit longer as it is dry.
Busy, well done on the haircut but frustrating news about the plumber. Fingers crossed that little hiccup is sorted soon.
T'Bird, my windows seem to have a similar mucky look to yours. I'll have to brace myself and sort that out on a slightly warmer day.
Yvie, your description of your lovely, roaring fire was enough to make me feel a bit warmer
RosieBB well done for braving a SM trip. I am trying to leave mine until next week.
Biglad, they snuck up on you when you weren't looking! How very dare they! Tell you what, I think I would just give in if I saw a 6ft 6ins Broad galloping towards me!
Ooh and my plants and bird food arrived today too. Woo hoo.
The only 'going out' I intend doing for the rest of today is to put out my bins. to put out my milk bottle and to fetch in the cloth things then that is definitely me inside.
Haven't seen Hazel today so hope all is OK with her.

Oh no Yvie! Mind you, you could probably leave your stuff outside if your temperature is anything like mine here. Just brought in my wet cloths and they were all frozen stiff.

  • Evening everyone,
Oh heck @Yviestevie  hope you can save some of your food. And don't have to wait too long for a new one to be delivered 🤞 Your  warm fire sounds so cosy.
We've had beautiful blue skies and sunshine today and not too chilly. Although forecast is for the temperature to drop and possibly snow.  I popped out to get some milk this morning, Easter eggs were on the shelves! 🤦‍♀️
@Ladybird4 how lovely that your neighbour  has cut some branches off the tree for you.  Whst new plants arrived, hope the ground isn't too hard for planting.
@Busy-Lizzie hope the plumber can finish off the bathroom for you soon.

Hope your ok @Songbird-1 take care

Oh dear, @Yviestevie, you could do without that. At least it wasn't just before Christmas full of festive food. I hope you can get a new one quickly. Was it insured?
