    Morning all.

It was grey and foggy earlier, went back to bed with coffee. Sun is out now and sky is blue.

Must finish and post Christmas cards, wrap GC's presents, buy more wrapping paper and do HW.

Very disturbed night, but awake from 8am. Looks dry enough out, so a trip to the tip beckons. ย Busy clearing out the spare room, but not sure we will even need it for Christmas. Seriously thinking of postponing Christmas until my birthday in March. Hopefully both the children and spouses will have had their boosters by then, and the winter pressures will have eased off.ย
Hopefully, we can fit in a walk today, I need to clear my head.
  • Having started the morning early Iโ€™ve kept going and given the downstairs a good dust, shake, polish etc and even buffed the floor. ๐Ÿ˜‡ Thatโ€™ll have to do until after Christmas cos the decorations will be going up later this week โ€ฆ as soon as Iโ€™ve finished DSโ€™s birthday card โ€ฆ

Put up some outdoor twinkly lights to cheer the place up a bit and discovered two blocked drainpipes. They each had about six feet of sediment in them and one of the drains was also blocked. Clearing that up got me filthy and soaked, not a pleasant job. The lights worked though :)

I was taking in the sun on the terrace just now and thinking wouldn't it be grand if I could "beam" you lot up to sit on the terrace with me and take in the sun all socially distant of course - it's a large terrace, with a glass of something for Christmas. Even @punkdoc might get out of bed for a touch of sun etc. It's funny the things you think about, oh well now to get the washing inย  B)

What a lovely thought @floralies.ย  I'll bring biscuits.
Repeat of blood pressure test this morning - even higher than the last time.ย  We waited a few minutes and did it again and it came down a bit.ย  OH is now in town buying me a blood pressure thingy so I can do it every day over a week. (It was that or wait for who knows how long to borrow one from the surgery).ย  I'm already on bp meds so this is a bit worrying, although it's not so very high.ย
Boris' announcement yesterday didn't help - with no guidelines regarding mixing in small groups, Christmas get togethers are not banned but the idea of attending them is making me somewhat anxious.ย ย
Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep tonight.

  • Iโ€™m on BP meds and do my own BP now @didyw and email the figures to the surgery. Nurse had a look at my recent readings today and pronounced me normal. Over recent years Iโ€™ve found having the cuff put on my upper arm and inflated incredibly painful โ€ฆ possibly a bit of fibromyalgiaโ€ฆ anyway niw I use a cuff designed to use on the wrist and itโ€™s fine.ย
