  • I’m ok thanks. OH’s lovely boss sent him home early and I’ve been looked after and fed. My wrist is a bit sore but nothing major. I’ll recover … and I’ll remember to stick the mat down properly tomorrow morning 🛁

We’ve just been out to pick some crab apples for jelly jam making. There’s still more on the trees, but the bucket was too heavy for me to carry. Luckily Hubby was able to do it. The photo won’t download, so I’ll try later.

Morning folks, what a night! Went to bed at 10.30, feeling tired. Read for an hour, awake at 12.30,still awake at 2,still awake at 3. Felt far more awake then, than when I crawled out of bed at 7.45,I wake up around 7 whenever I go to bed/sleep.very mild,11c overnight, went back into the 'summer' PJs,(still got the summer duvet on the bed, when hubby wants the 12 tog, well know it's winter.

The old man just brought me breakfast in bed! The second amazing fact is how come this picture isn't upside down!
  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    You’re being spoilt @Nanny Beach 😲
Those crab apples look beautiful @Pat E 🍎

Morning all, there is a round yellow ball in a clear blue sky this morning, what a treat! We may even have a coffee on the terrace later  B) That's a good harvest @Pat E yes I think you are going to be busy!
Hope you feeling ok this morning @Dovefromabove, bumps and bruises have a knack of feeling worse the day after.
I must give OH a gentle reminder to mend the gate into the field which broke in the wind a couple of days ago otherwise we will have the local horses and sheep in the garden   :open_mouth:
  • Im fine @floralies  thanks for asking 😊 A bruise I wasn’t expecting has appeared on my inner thigh … that shows that I only had one foot in the bath when I slipped and explains the acrobatics … it looks as if I bashed my cheekbone on the jamb of the shower door as I spun around semi-horizontally (think Tom Daley) … I had wondered how I’d managed it but the bruise has explained it all. 😝
I’m having a ‘supervised shower’ this morning apparently …oooerr!!! And OH is going to stick the bath mat down properly 😶

@Dovefromabove, I did a similar thing when staying at my son's house, slipped getting out of the shower over the bath and bashed the side of my face against the built in soap dish. I hit it with such force that the protruding ceramic dish was broken and still have a scar to prove it. Later that day I went to get the mail from the post box and was stung on the mouth by a hornet looking for a place to build a nest
It wasn't the fact that I was a bit bruised and battered that  reduced me to tears but that my husband and son both thought it was funny!

    Morning.

That’s often the way with a fall @Dovefromabove, bruises appear that you don’t expect! Hope you aren’t too sore.

I’ve just had the most lovely parcel...

a tiny Christmas Tree to plant up! It’s from a cutting and comes with decorations all from natural materials. It’s so cute and I’m excited to be able to grow it on. Pics on baubles thread later!

    Have a good Sunday folks.
