Being home alone, used to be fun, but when you are feeling crap, it is anything but, and I have a week of this to endure.
    I concur.

Wide awake and p****d off. This Covid business is really stressing me out. At least I have company, but OH in same state. I wish Christmas would just go away, and I didn’t have difficult decisions to make.
Hope all get back to sleep.

  • Bless all the anxious ones 🤗 I’m awake now (thanks @Pat E 🥱)
here’s tea and coffee (and company) for us all

  • OH is cycling to the shops to pickup some bits and bobs we need (mainly ingredients for a birthday cake) … meanwhile I’m getting ready to go for my blood test ….

    Good morning to you all.

Bright and sunny this morning, NO wind!!  Wow!  A day for the beach (with the dog for a walk).

Afternoon tea went well.  Good conversation and good company.  Our nursing neighbours had some good stories to tell about what goes on at the hospital.  I certainly don't intend to get Covid in the future!!  Get the third jab!!

@Dovefromabove I hope you showed the nurse your bruising - what did she have to say about your fall.  (Except, be more careful!)

@Busy-Lizzie  If your OH gets a date for his operation, maybe he could join you whilst waiting.

@D0rdogne_Damsel  Mark the day.  Have a couple of glasses of champagne and some good foie gras.  Don't think that you have to have company on Christmas Day.  It's not a bad thing to put your feet up and enjoy the peace on earth!

@punkdoc   Bed isn't such a bad place to be on a rainy day!

Today's expression:  A la Saint Luce, les jours rallongent d'un saut de puce!
So, we are heading for spring!  Well, the days will start getting a little longer from next week onwards.  Slowly.

Have an enjoyable day - whatever you are doing wherever.

  • Nurse says I'm fine, except for bruised pride 🤣  No pain in the wrist any more so she's not worried about that, and the bruise on my leg 'isn't too bad considering'.   My cheekbone is a bit tender but not swollen and no visible bruising so as long as there's no pain when eating or talking she says she's not worried about that either ... and I've had my annual blood test for my thyroid meds, so I'm all up to date.
