    Hello @punkdoc … sorry you’re still poorly. For some reason I’m wide awake … have been for about half an hour. I’d make myself a hot drink but I know we’ve run out of decaf …

    Not the only one awake then! Son’s house sale / purchase has run into problems just as they were about to exchange contracts, so I’ve got that to worry about. Plus all the usual middle of the night angst. My mind keeps dredging up events from the dim and distant past, where the older and wiser me would have preferred to have done something differently.
    Dont fancy getting out of bed to make a cuppa, but I do have a couple of library books on the iPad, so I’ll indulge in some Regency romance escapism. Hopefully rid my mind of doom and gloom.
    Hope you manage to fight off that virus, punkdoc, it’s taking a while. No hot chocolate, Dove? Or just some hot milk? With a dash of rum!

    Morning folks,(a few hours) belated happy birthday to Hosta 🍰,am trying out a light boozy fruit cake in the slo cooker,you want to be Guinea pig for the birthday Hosta? Surprised it's 0c because it was really lovely yesterday warm sunny and very mild when we took the dogs out last night. Love to all whatever you are up to today. Getting on with the cooking,as I have my 3rd jab tomorrow and maybe not in a fit state Saturday (grandaughters birthday last week) just a buffet and her cake
