Oh @Hostafan1 ((hugs)). Who is overseeing his pain relief? It is quite possible for him to be kept comfortable ... Ma had no idea there was anything wrong with her when she was dying.

he says he's getting a job at Waitrose when he comes out. He says there's nothing wrong with him and doesn't understand why they won't let him come home with me.
hi everyone Had an emergency call from Secondborn to ask if I would pop over (50 mile round trip) to watch the boys while she did some school work. Don’t really mind but it’s a lovely day and I had planned to go in the garden.
@cvh. It’s the first time I’ve tried to overwinter the begonias. I’ve just put them in some old dryish potting compost and will leave them in the unheated greenhouse. It’s the wet that does the damage not necessarily the cold.
Hugs for @Hostafan1 and anyone else that needs them.
Nice to know he wants to work with you @Hostafan1 ((hugs))
Ma didn't know she had a tumour ... by then the dementia had stopped her reasoning /questioning things ... she'd lost a lot of blood and her organs were packing up ... they put her on a morphine driver and she just drifted away ...

Good afternoon Forkers. Bright and sunny again here but cold out of the sun. I have been clearing away stuff after completing sewing projects and sorting drawers and cleaning surfaces in the sewing room. Machine cleaned and oiled too - what a good girl am I!
Late lunch but now set to re-enter all my contacts into the new smart phone as they seem not to have been stored on SIM card or removable memory in my old one. Humph. And my PC is working at snail pace and I've no idea why so lots of time spent doing multiple backups. Double humph.
Better that he doesn't know too much I think @Hostafan1. Not so easy for you tho so have a big hug.
Roast chicken for dinner for a change here @Dovefromabove (don't tell the chooks) but I have to wait a while to get any cavolo nero as the new babies are only just over an inch high now.

Hosta ❤️. The rest of you,you Slatterns!!Are you doing your shopping in TESCO in your pj s! In the summer up and out well before 6,I don't tend to get dressed because I haven't had time. In the garden that is! Speed dial for sick grandkids, they are nearly 40 miles away. Two disabled sons, one im carer for, taking him for blood tests Friday, about the same distance. Dog is overdue for her annual checkup, that was because of the fuel problems. Vets I've been going to 25 years, where we used to live so,40 miles. I have tried half a dozen local ones, they ranged from no good to downright rude and completely useless. Oddly enough,my dog didn't like them and used to pee as soon as we got in the door. They expected ME at my age and size to lift a 3.5 stone dog onto the high examination table. My vet gets on the floor with the dogs. funnily enough, our vet is a lot cheaper than the local ones I do try to add the journey to seeing sons etc. Doesn't always work
Sorry to hear your sad news @floralies. And that you are still having nose problems. Whatever you do - do not touch your nose when working with your chillies! @Hostafan1 - gulp. I bet your stomach flipped when you saw that. Hope the garden is bringing you peace and calm. Hope everyone on mercy dashes to care for their families have safe journeys.
Hosta, there’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. It’s so hard that he doesn’t understand and you have to keep putting a good face on for him. At least he sounds less angry nowadays. That must be a relief for you. It’s way past bed time here. Hate the daylight saving routine. Night all.
Sorry @floralies. Forgot to offer condolences. I expect neither was close enough for you to get to the funerals and share memories and comfort each other. Hop the bloody nose starts behaving better.

hugs to @floralies. I've had a productive afternoon in the garden. Got" the big bit" of grass cut and moved some horse poo and woodchip into dumpy sacks. My poo suppliers are getting another horse tomorrow so I'll be having almost double each week. Many thanks for your support. It means a lot.
