OH back from seeing his oncologist andΒ all ok. Such a relief to be told everything is going well.Β @Rubee good to hear your OH is sleeping better. @bluebellsinthewild that's what I do with spiders too ππ·π·
Hello all. What wonderful news SGL. I'm so pleased for your OH and your family. I decided against going to Canasta as I have developed a cold and thought it sensible to stay away until I got rid of it. I didn't want to be sharing my viruses with the group. I rang and let the organiser know as she has a tendency to worry. It hs been lovely today but I've had no energy to do anything very strenuous. Filled the bird feeders and mooched about a bit. I'm hoping tomorrow I'll feel up to getting out into the garden to do a bit of work.

Evening Ante. We were all talking about a favourite actor - who we all love - who was in Poldark. Now he has grown a beard and we preferred him without. So you have the Anchor style? I have to confess that I didn't know there were so many different named beards. I'm sure that your beard suits you very well

Sorry to hear that you are in the middle of a storm Ante. I have been meaning to ask, how are all your fruit trees settling in? I hope that they are not getting too rocked about by the stormy weather you have been having.
p.s. have you started on your plum jam yet?

Fruit trees are ok. They are still full of green leaves, disadvantage in the storm. I'll start with jam tomorrow. I didn't have time yesterday and today for that.
I've finished digging my new bed, think there are 9 sacks of compost dug into it. Soil was heavy. Mowed the lawn.
Suddenly felt like going out, needed more compost and fertiliser and I want to plant fuchsia Riccartonii x 6 between the clematis on the fence. Went to local small GC, bought a Helenium "Short and Sassy" and a geranium "Anne Thompson" but no fuchsias there. Then went to the big nearby plant nursery but they hadn't got any so went to another GC about 15 mins away and they had them. I bought 3 other smaller hardy fuchsias for the shady bit of my new bed, a purple veined geranium (no label) and an anemone "Bressingham Glow". The nice man (it's a family run GC) gave me a big discount, the fuchsias were only 4β¬ each.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

LB I do hope that you are feeling better soon.Ante I am sure you look very dapper in your anchor beard .My OH has had a beard since he was able to grow one .Shaving caused a lot of problems with his skin .I love his beard . I am not surprised that you didn't have time to do your jam Ante. I was amazed when you said you would do it as it was one of your work days. Enjoy making your jam tomorrow.
Wow Busy, you have been like a thing possessed! Have you finished planting all of your bulbs as well? Bargain price for your plants too. Did you get a 'Hawkshead' fuchsia. That is a lovely, hardy one.
I am signing out too Ruby. Wonder how many trees I will dream of getting after I've watched GW tonight.
Yep, I defo look like Marcie.
p.s. Have you been in the chocolate shop T'Bird?

Friday evening at last. We are in the middle of the storm. It's really rough outside, especially wind.
Chive, I'm so glad that your mum is recovering quickly.Β
