Got back to sleep sometime after 4, and slept through till 7. Will take an hours nap after lunch if I need it. Sorry you didn’t get back to sleep, Hostafan. Looked sunny first thing, and debated whether to delay today’s jobs and go out for a walk this morning. However, it’s now clouded over. Will get another load of laundry into the new washing machine and run the vacuum round instead.

    Hi all

    Brilliant news @chicky, well done.
Hope you manage to get some rest today, @Hostafan1

Supposed to go to GP's today for my 3 monthly blood tests. They have just phoned to cancel them, because they are not an emergency. I said I suppose not when it is not you that is likely to die.

That is just awful @punkdoc, is that because of the test tube shortage I read about? I wonder who they are going to prioritise then.

    Apparently so @floralies.
I am not a happy bunny. Such are the joys of the COVID, post BREXIT world.

  • Oh grim @punkdoc ((hugs))
I've had a text  from the GP telling me not to book my thyroid level blood test that is due shortly ... obviously not of the same importance as yours but ... I can see that A&E and pre and post op stuff must take precedence ... but I can also see that it will make you anxious ... hopefully somewhere in the world the test tube factories are working 24/7 to catch up so it won't take too long before things begin to get back to normal.

On a brighter note, George is now happy to start when needed, and I've been to the farm shop and butcher and back, everything's been sanitised and put away, washing is out on the line, a phone call has been dealt with and I'm having lunch.  Supper is bacon, eggs, mushrooms, sweetcorn and oven chips ... so nothing to do prep-wise ... so I'll see what you lot have been up to and then it'll be time for a bit of R&R with the knitting and the paralympics.
