Yes @Nanny Beach - lunch in one place and dinner in another.
It's hot here. The chooks are in the rose garden, now in shade, having dust baths. I've come in for a water break cos it's hot work out there sunbathing, even at this hour. I've also been checked the slow roast belly pork which may be eaten rather late, when it's cooler. OH and I would be happy with salad but Possum is a traditionalist and likes her crackling too.

Steady away day at CdeG, so nice not to be a manic for a change. I have had this evening off, made a lovely roast lamb dinner, with lots of fresh vegetables. Written and organised new 'autumn menu' which now seems a bit early as we've had better weather than in July and August.
A very close friend has had a terrible fall from a roof, multiple broken bones and bruising all over, glad to be alive, makes one stop and think about inportant things in life.
I am thinking of @Hostafan1 and @punkdoc, hoping the strain is not too great. Also hope @WonkyWomble is not feeling too bad.
My garden is looking very neglected, despite the gardener, it makes me feel a bit sad. Hoping for some light evenings after work when I can get it back under control. I do wish the gardener used a bit more initiative, he weeds, but never dead heads or cuts back, when it so obviously would benefit from both. Sadly, I never see him, he just comes sporadically and does his own 'safe' thing.

I didn't buy anything at the flea market, I got rid of a load of junk when I moved here. In fact, I've never seen so much rubbish! I enjoyed it though.
I had an even better afternoon. I went to the garden that was open for the French "Open Gardens", like the NGS. The garden wasn't big but it was very pretty and well cared for. Tea was set out on the terrace, sausage rolls, scones and cakes. I had sausage rolls and a yummy slice of date and walnut cake. There were English people that I know there and I met a few more. Most of the visitors to the garden were English. It was a warm day, car said 30°, and a drive through glorious countryside with wonderful far reaching views.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Horrid thing to happen @D0rdogne_Damsel … hope your friend makes a good recovery.
I’ve had texts and photos from @WonkyWomble … they all had an afternoon bbq in the garden with her Lovely Hub doing the cooking and her brother providing live guitar music … she said despite feeling snotty she had a lovely time.
Now it's time for bed … so night night all … sleep tight 😴

Just up here Dove. This morning’s news is that Cooma (our local town) has a Covid case. I guess that will put paid to our shopping for a while. We’re waiting for further news about it. 😡
Morning everyone, quite bright but hazy here. We are going to a garden in Kent today. This is the last of our long delayed garden viewings with Perennial. Wish us luck on the M25 🥶
