    Morning everyone.

I haven’t read back properly to yesterday’s chit chat yet, but noticed that some of you mentioned the pandemic finding it’s way to our town. 😡 I can’t say I’m surprised, but am irritated that it’s snuck in considering the States are all in lockdown, so it means that some idiot has been breaking the rules.  The trouble is, that since I was a trainee nurse when I was a teenager, I understand the dangers of ignoring the medical advice being given, day after day on the TV.  I’m very intolerant of stupidity.

One of our worries is that Hubby’s fire captain and one of his daughters haven’t bothered to get vaccinated. Hubby still has a lot to with them, even though it’s not fire season yet. That’s just two of the stupid locals that we know about.

Anyway, we are still only going to town once a week and are being very careful about being masked and washing hands etc.  We don’t know if the lock down will mean we have to provide proof of our vaccination or not. I’m carrying a sheet of paper in my handbag which lists all our vaccinations over the last few years. Hopefully, if we do get stopped by police, that’ll be enough to satisfy them.  To be honest, I’m a bit worried about Hubby’s cancer medication being an influence to his vaccine doses, but the Oncologist says it shouldn’t make a difference.    Not much point in getting all het up about something I have no control over.

gorgeous morning … soft sun and very still … I can hear a wren singing and a pigeon cooing … not much traffic sound … the world is just waking up …

  • Goodness me ... are you all out soaking up the sun?

I'm just heading south to visit Bro and SIL ... won't go in as Bro is isolating, but it's his wife's birthday tomorrow so I'll deliver a 'card' and present ... then I'll swing round by Southwold Harbour and pick up some fish for supper.  See you later folks  :)

    Morning. Lovely day here.

How handy that I have a few days off so I can “help” with the new puppy 🐶

Have a good day all 😎

Gorgeous morning here. Having breakfast on the patio in the shade, listening to the birds singing, and watching a squirrel demolishing a pine cone on the grass.
Had planned to get up early and head to Sidmouth for a walk on the seafront before it gets crowded. However, we were both awake for about two hours in the night, finally got to sleep and it was almost 9am.
I blame yesterday’s activities for the disrupted night. We had lunch with friends, chatted for hours, and I had two cups of coffee, both after midday. Caffeine after 11am does affect me badly.

Sitting here having third cuppa then must do something, think I’ll need a cardi on today, quite windy,   should reach 23 today then rain.

Rather windy today but sunny and set to get to 25C in the shade.  Planning to spray paint some cast iron chairs I've rust-proofed and then sunbathe a while.  Need to pick low hanging toms and chillies in the polytunnel later as the forecast indicates more rain and thunder than expected tomorrow and the chooks will need somewhere dry.

First egg for weeks laid this morning.   I hope the rest get the idea cos I actually bought eggs on Friday and, even tho organic, they were nowhere near as good as our chooks'.

@punkdoc it' surely possible to position some cameras that just show your property where it borders the shared drive?  I hope the measures taken will work.

@Hostafan1 words fail me in the face of such stupidity.  Good luck.

@Pat E There'll always be some eejits who break rules and hang the consequences to others.  Masks, hand-washing and distancing should keep you safe and hubby can always refuse to go near anyone he knows isn't vaccinated. The need for a Pass Sanitaire here has certainly concentrated a few minds - people who need public transport, like to go to bars and restaurants, younger folk wanting to go clubbing.
