Love a good custard tart, don't mind a sardine either.
2nd. set of new neighbours just started moving in, that's 2 in 1 day.
Just the other half of our house empty now.

That sounds a bit odd @Punkdoc? Is your house a big old one divided into two?
Hope all the new neighbours are pleasant ones.

I had a good snooze this afternoon as it was so hot so have caught up on lost sleep. The wind has dropped and it feels very close and got dark early so perhaps our expected storm will arrive early - what's the betting it thunders about 2 am?

Our runner beans are just about finished and all my tomatoes are still terribly green despite the hot sunshine we've had this week. I've resorted to hanging banana skins in the greenhouse to see if that will help.

Yes @Lizzie27, ours is part of the original manor house, the cottages in the grounds were originally stables and workshops.

That sounds intriguing @Punkdoc, do you know how far back the house dates back to?

Oops - does that mean your horrible NDN was literally right next door to you? I always thought shared properties and drives could possibly become a nightmare.

Next door’s goats in our back paddock.

The tall one on the left was ours but he decided to join the girls next door, so he lives with them now. Lucky he’d been castrated.  🙄

no clouds today and short sleeve weather. No complaints here.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Love goats @Pat E  😊

It’s another beautiful morning … goldfinches are twittering in the viburnum. My second coffee is on its way.

Another sunny day here and not a drop of rain overnight.  So much for the amber warning for storms.

I hope the new neighbours are interesting in a good way @punkdoc.   Maybe invite them all for drinks to break the ice?

I like the look of, and the antics, of goats but wouldn't want them in my paddock @Pat E.  Bit smelly judging by goats next door to a friend in Belgium and demon munchers.

Right then, since we had no rain I need to go and water my treasures in the veg plot nursery and I need to start on passata.

Great to hear a good night’s sleep was had @Hostafan1 💤.  And good luck with all the new neighbours @punkdoc.  How is your brother doing @Dovefromabove ?

Volunteering day for me today ….hope I’m not in the glasshouses as its forecast to be a scorcher.  Switched volunteering to Wednesdays as my R H S practical course is now on a Thursday …..first day at school is next week.
