    Sounds good @punkdoc.  When we bought this place in July 2016 we were still a couple of months away from moving in so I wrote to both new sets of neighbours to tell them who we were and that we were moving from Belgian countryside to French so were used to horses and cows and tractors etc.   When we came to spend a week or so decorating in August the farmer invited us for apéro.  He served his own Pineau.  No painting that afternoon then but cordial relations ever since.   T'other lot are friendly too.

    First lot of passata done - 8 x 450g.   Second pot on.  Luscious toms with no blemishes or blossom end rot so a cracking harvest - all grown in the polytunnel to escape blight.

    Our thunderstorms are now passing well to the east, all the way over in AngoulĂȘme!

    Afternoon all.
    I was just checking the ‘lightning tracker’ to see if we are likely to receive the weather coming up from France. It’s 50:50 for this evening by the looks.

    I hope your neighbours are a more suitable improvement punk. The bar was low though.

    I hope the proposed arrangement for hubby will work out ok Hosta.

    I hope everyone is doing ok.

    I’ve had my puppy fix today and helped work out his food portions, sorted microchip, vets and insurance etc.

    No sign of the threatened thunderstorms this morning, and the rain didn’t last long. Didn’t even rain here at home, 10 miles inland, so no respite for the garden.
    AuntyRach, so jealous! Give the new pup an extra hug from me! I did manage to have a pet with a cute little dachshund in the coffee shop this morning. Really makes my day.

    Good news on here today

    @punkdoc the relief we felt our unstable and aggressive neighbour moved out to be replaced by perfectly normal people  :) We are not best friends but we can stop and chat and swap plants and agree on stuff that needs to be done for the common access and all sorts without anyone getting in some else's face. It seems like so little to ask.

    @Hostafan1 a good night's rest  :)

    All good. No rain here - well, 3 fat raindrops and that was it. So far, anyway

    We didn’t miss it, thunder this morning and lots of rain,  stopped by lunch time but due again at 5pm.  We’re different sides of the Moor.

    We've had no rain or thunderstorms either, now forecast for tomorrow. We desperately need rain though not like Salcombe @Ergates, where I gather they had a monsoon and flooded streets!
    OH has mowed the lawns whilst they are dry and I've been brushing the paving again.

    We haven't had the forecast thunderstorms yet either. I'm hoping for some rain.

    I've been stacking logs but not nearly finished, back has had enough.
