Morning folks,a quick hello. Had a "lie in" got up a 6.45! Aren't I the little devil! A bit too dark then to get out in the garden. Garden waste day today. Grass needs cutting, all 3 compost bins are full to the top.i did dead heading yesterday, then we took dogs and grandaughter to the park with a football. Have done the washing, and made protein bars. For Mum,she's collecting them after work. She had been going to work at 6.45,is like hubby, can't eat breakfast. She was buying them at (Deep intake of breath!)£2.50 each, I made 18 last week, for less than that. I've always got "basic" ingredients, fruit, nuts, seeds. She's started running, first on a treadmill, doing 10ks she looses weight really quickly. Talking of, my youngest son was telling me about the formula for your basal metabolic rate,I did mine, depressing. At 5.1in,9.5st it's 10057,bought chocolate bar, think fruit and nut,but it also has biscuit, well one of those iddy biddy squares is 180cals! No,I haven't eaten a single one!
Hi all Got back from Moira’s sisters yesterday, but left her there. Wish I hadn’t now, had a terrible night, fairly sure there was someone in the garden, but maybe just my imagination. I called the Police, but they were not interested. Have to admit, I am terrified, ex NDN is a psychopath, this is why he gets away with never paying what he owes. Really not sure what to do, but I can’t let Moira come back to this.
Oh @punkdoc ... do you have a friend who would lend you a dog for a few nights ... or maybe get some of those movement activated lights around the place ... it'll be worth it for your peace of mind ... it may or may not be your imagination, but whatever it is it's not an unreasonable way to feel given the history, so don't beat yourself up about it ... what about night cameras ostensibly for filming hedgehogs and foxes etc ... easy enough to order online and set up ... and even if it's not NDN you see on the screen, it should be interesting ((hugs))

Morning all, happy 1st September to everyone. Weather is on the change here, thundery showers for the next few days, I hope there will be enough rain to soften the ground without the need to use a pick axe which is what is needed at the moment. Wild life cameras are very good @punkdoc we have a couple, one picked up our neighbour coming up our drive with a large stick the other night!!
Morning all, grey and coldish here as well. Not inspiring. Looks like my turquoise caterpillar had a very cold night clinging onto the rim of the pot so I've dug a small hole in the flower bed, watered it and gently put the caterpillar next to it under a large primrose leaf. I was waiting in for new dishwasher to arrive but have now been told it won't be until the afternoon. Slight problem is the sink blocked up last night so I'm having to pour lots of soda/hot water down in hope it clears before they arrive. OH has walked down for the paper, I had to put his socks on for him this morning, his hip is definitely getting worse. He's waiting for a telephone physio call, I'm not quite sure how that is going to work. Outside cameras would be a really good idea @Punkdoc. A friend of ours in the country has rigged up a sensor across his drive which rings a bell inside the house if anyone drives/walks in. It's a big old farmhouse with a large garden so he wouldn't necessarily see anybody arrive. Have a good day everyone.

Good idea, we had been thinking of getting some for the wild life, so that will kill 2 birds with 1 stone [ so to speak ]
