Indeed @didyw ... but I appreciate her consideration The local press had a feature on your Plant Fair yesterday. I'm hoping we're going to get down to have a look ... any recommendations for parking ... it seems a very long time since I parked in Bungay!
Ooh - I'll have to look for that - the EDP? Parking is always a nightmare at the street fairs but we have additional parking at the golf club which the scouts are stewarding for us - its a turning off the Clays roundabout (A143) which has the common on one side and the entrance to Bungay the other. You will want the common side. But there will be signs.
Sunny and warm for a change. Moira is painting the summerhouse, and....... I am watching her paint the summerhouse. Off to see a solicitor tomorrow to discuss getting my money back off the ex-NDN, still not convinced it is the right way to go, but it is a lot of money.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Back from probably the biggest flea market I've ever seen. It filled the 2 car parks and the village square. Parking was well organised, in a field. The lovely couple who helped with my house move were there, holding a stall for charity. There were nearly as many English voices as French and a lot of Dutch too. I couldn't find the sale in the smaller village, maybe the person who put the ad on the English website got muddled, both village names start with V.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Afternoon all, a really late start today after a disturbed night, we didn't wake up again until 10.30! Will miss lunch out because of the late breakfast/brunch, then we're off to a nephew's housewarming/50th birthday bash. It's lovely and sunny again so I can wear my nice new blue linen dress with sandals. Have just painted my nails so am typing this very cautiously. We had a good day out yesterday with my daughter in a local village but lunch there turned into a bit of a disaster, we waited very hungrily for nearly an hour for a light lunch to be served despite the cafe not being that busy and with no warning there would be a long wait. Daughter had shakshuka, OH had a croque provencal and I had a chicken & bacon flatbread, which was nearly devoid of both. We won't be going back there. By contrast the meal out last night at a local pub was very good. Between the three of us though, eating out yesterday was over £100 - ouch!
Glad you got some rain @Pat E. Great shame Wonky can't join you @Dovefromabove. Enjoy the cricket @chicky It's probably worth hearing what the solicitor says @Punkdoc but surely it's the gas company you should be pursuing? Hope you get some sunshine today @Hostafan1 and that OH has a comfortable day. I love a great flea market @Busy-Lizzie, were you tempted by anything?
Lizzie 27, do what I do,quick couple of seconds over the nails with the hairdryer.crikey, what did you eat that set you back £100 for 3 or was that for alcohol? Shakshuka, yummm
2 meals out for 3 in one day will do it @Nanny Beach
Hot here. 30C in the shade so I'm staying there till a bit later and will then go and work on tanning my legs a bit more. Far too hot and dry for gardening and they're at the wrong angle to the sun when I'm gardening so I need just to lie down and take it. Want to be coloured enough not to have to wear tights later on when dancing in a frock - assuming the knee behaves of course.
Expecting even more heat tomorrow and Tuesday but then, with any luck, some overnight thunder and wet stuff which will be most welcome.
Love a good flea market @Busy-Lizzie. Did you find anything interesting? I'm banned at the mo as I have our garage full of cast iron garden/conservatory chairs to finish rust proofing and painting then a set of pine kitchen chairs and some other bits and bobs to sort out and get stashed safely before autumn gales hit so we can get the cars back under cover. Come to think of it I also have old galvanised stuff to paint and decorate for the garden - milk churn, jug thingy, assorted pots and containers and an old laundry tub.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Very hot weather today and it warmed up yesterday to 30°C. Thick mist this morning too. Autumn is here!
Have a great day everyone.
