Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable

Good morning SGL, You snuckered in there. I must ring my hairdresser and cancel my haircut as I'm quite happpy with it as it is just now. All I can say is that he must have had a serious cutting  job the last time. I'm also toying with the idea of getting rid of my colour all together as I am not keen on the growing through stage when my natural hair colour - or lack of - stands out like one of T'Bird's LED lights in contrast to my violet brown! It was only when this happened at the beginning of lockdown last year that I realised what my true colour was as I've had my hair coloured forever. If I did have the colour removed I could then go to town with all sorts of streaks. Where in the rules does it say we have to age gracefully?!

  • Perhaps you should have grown it out during lockdown LB 😉 nobody would have seen the growing stages of colour. Will you have it 'stripped' out at the hairdressers....or grow it out slowly?

  • Oh flip, its starting to drizzle 🤦🏻‍♀️

Its been mizzling all morning here SGL. Hindsight is a wonderful thing It will need stripping out as allowing it to grow out is too hideous a prospect to consider

LB my hair is silver white ,I am happy with it . Good idea to have some colourful streaks in your hair when you have got back to your normal colour .I would have loved to have colourful streaks in my hair but I am allergic to the dye .
I thought Col TT was asleep . Can’t get away with anything . :#
  • Just got back from the hairdressers. Feels so much better now its been cut.
I'm hoping I go white/silver like my mum did. I loved the colour of her hair.
Hope you've put the heavy hot thing away now @Rubee 😉
Time for a cup of tea.

    Afternoon all,

The sun has won the battle and is now out.

I think I'd sooner spend 24 hours on a submarine than 24 minutes on a helicopter. However, I imagine that I'll never be subjected to either ;)

Amidst a lot of recent failures in the garden (not least me dropping bleedin' plants so they snap :o), the dwarf french beans are ignoring their dwarf status and swarming all over the chicken wire I put over them, up the wall, onto (and up) the sunflowers and beyond. Really healthy growth with loads of flowers and beans. If I finish work in time, some of them will be going in a curry this evening with broccoli and sweet potato :)

  • Hazel I do hope you have a better night tonight.  Lily I’m glad you slept.  Lovely to catch up this morning.   LB I had chicken lasagne for lunch which was warming in this cooler weather.  Biglad enjoy your curry.  It will be great using your own produce.   Hazel it’s good you have your cardigan on.  I’m wearing a camisole as an extra layer.
