Hazel I’m doing a sm shop tomorrow so I’ll see what the shelves are like. So many people have been pinged since track and trace. The sun has come out here but still cool. I’m watching the branches and leaves in the trees blowing in the breeze. I have some h*******k to do.
The builder has been so I can now drive into the car port barn. Just need the man with the digger to smooth and resurface the drive with gravel. It was very wet when the concrete lorry came and has made ruts.
I'm about to go and deal with leaves with the leaf blower, seems like autumn already, though it's warm. Storms are expected and a lot of rain next week.
Then I may join Rubee with the hot metal thingy. I may have mentioned I like ironing, most satisfying. My worst chores are filing and putting things away.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Afties all. I've had a super time at my Bestie's today though it was quite sad seeing her daughter struggling to walk. Her right knee and left foot are still quite swollen but she is slowly getting there. We spent a lot of time laughing at all sorts of silly things and we all felt better for it. Bestie and I are going out again tomorrow with other members of the quiz team for our monthly meal (cannot believe that a month has gone passed already!) Just as well we are meeting up as I left my jacket at her house!
Cat duties are finished for the day too and only one more feed tomorrow morning before they get handed back. Pepsi spotted me putting the bins back and came running into the house mewing like mad. I haven't see Candi since the first day but her food has been disappearing.
Hazel, I am with you! I have been up in a helicopter too and I loved it but there is no way I would want to go in a submarine. Far too claustrophobic. I don't suffer from claustrophobia but I wouldn't like all that water up above me. The same applies to being underground. Glad the boiler service went smoothly.
Biglad, its obvious that no one told the French beans they were supposed to be dwarf! Your curry sounds yummy.
RosieBB, chicken lasagne sounds yummy too.
Busy, great that you've got the car port finished - before the winter sets in.
I have to say that the only thing I missed in 'sco yesterday were skinless and boneless chicken thighs. I did get them 'complete' so I'll have to skin them myself to make my curry.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Busy busy day ... someone/something had knocked the temperature control in the garage fridge/freezer and we had a large salad drawer of frozen veg .......... we now have a container the size of a bucket full of 'Mixed Vegetable Soup' ... that'll keep the Under Gardener's lunch flask full for the forseeable future 😂
I've also been busy in the studio so today has a 'satisfied glow' around it .... but now my feet are up and the knitting is to hand.
Have a restful evening all of you

The curry was too good @Ladybird4 - I've made a right pig of myself and had seconds. I made enough for OH and eldest to have some when they get home tomorrow evening after a long working week.
Going to watch the first half of the England game and then get back to work. Quite a bit that needs to be finished by tomorrow morning
No apologies necessary Hazel . I make some real howlers sometimes .LB so pleased you had a good time with your Bestie . A good laugh is a real tonic .Your cat duties seem to have passed very quickly .I am signing out . Goodnight folks.
