Good Morning All, thank you for all your kindness mum had her op yesterday. She was taken off at 2.30pm, but it was 10.30pm before I could get any answer as to how she was. Although still in recovery at that time, she was rallying round and I’ve heard this morning she is back on the ward. I’ll go to see her this afternoon, not sure what to expect.

I can’t thank you all enough for helping me through this, I know many of you have your own family worries and health problems to cope with.

Best wishes to you all xxx ❤️

Morning @Chivetalking so glad to hear all went well with your mum's op. Sorry it was so late before you heard how she was. Must have been very worrying for you. I'm sure she'll feel so much better when she sees you today.  Take care of yourself too Chive. Very best wishes to you and your family x

Morning everyone - think it's going to be a pleasant day so I'll do a couple of hours outside later on. The soil should be nice and soft for digging....

Chive - A long wait for news for you yesterday - bet you can't wait to see how your mum is this afternoon. Hope it's all good🙂

LB - the mate with the karts was kart racing world champion about 30 years ago. He didn't have the money / couldn't get the sponsorship to get into car racing so he continued in the kart world.
Both his sons raced at a very high level and he has continued to work coaching and training drivers young and old. At the moment he has about 6 regular drivers who race in various kart series. They turn up at the meetings with their own safety kit and T provides the karts, engines and mechanical support. OH is his chief mechanic. They take it all very seriously🙄

T'Bird, I know its probably a blokey thing - karting - but I have the utmost respect for people who take their sport whatever it is (even though I can't get my head round boxing and weight lifting! ) - very seriously and devote their time to involving others. Respect to all involved.

@Chivetalking good news about your mom but a difficult time ahead for you so take care of yourself. You need to be strong to stay positive for Mom. Plan treats for yourself and don’t be afraid to lean on others. People will try to help by telling you all will be ok and they mean well but you are entitled to be worried and upset. You are having a stressful time and it’s ok to be stressed.
I am taking my own advice having a day in the garden and going out to see a film later. Sending you positive thoughts.

RosieBB, I am making chicken balti. It's in the slow cooker now for 4 hours. I am also going to be making rhubarb crumble and some more of the rhubarb cordial using the recipe Debs sent to me. Having a cuppa now before the next foray into the kitchen.

@Songbird-1 Poppet2 birthday is the end of this month, so have a couple of weeks to get something for her. But her mummy and daddy have no ideas what to get. Probably because her sister.....poppet1 has everything for that age already 🤦‍♀️  When I asked Poppet2  the other day what she would like for her birthday........she said......presents Nanna.  😂😂 Well I did ask 🤣
Hazel Hooe all goes well for your granddaughter. Not the best yesr to take exams bless her.
Thank you Rosie, I do feel very tired this morning.

Good morning all and hugs for @Chivetalking. I hope it will be a good visit with Mum and she recovers quickly.

We are going to a fish restaurant today in Southwold for a very late birthday meal for OH. I couldn't take him out in February, we were in France in lockdown then he went back to Norfolk and I couldn't join him for 3 1/2 months.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
