Popped to the shops today, managed to get some reading books, sticker books and a cuddly toy for Poppet2 . Hoping to get some more ideas for her. Also got her card and wrapping paper, so at least I've made a start. Got home, had lunch and then did some gardening for an hour or so. The sun was quite warm this afternoon and stayed till early evening. Good to see you @Ante30 lovely crop of vegetables. @Chivetalking hope your mum is feeling a little better today.Â
Another tedious slog today but I did sneak off for another afternoon run Made myself a curry to celebrate. Chucked some of my broad beans and peas in for a little bit of homegrown colour Â
Then back to the grindstone for an evening work session. Just finished so off to bed so I can get up at 6am and do it all again Â
@Songbird-1 we do too, but finding it difficult to get any ideas for pressies for her this time. Her mummy and daddy have no ideas. And her sister Poppet1 has lots of toys already, it's making it difficult not duplicating what she has already. Will say goodnight too. Sleep well everyone.
Ante - I do hope you manage some sleep. The temperatures you are enduring must be very wearing. Your harvest is excellent again but I have no dea how you can even think about digging potatoes etc when it's so hot.
LB - your extended meet up sounds like fun. Glad you had a good time.
Rubee - fingers crossed the drugs are kicking in.
It's been rather cloudy here but pleasantly warm. We rubbed down the shed and I've given it a coat of paint. It will need another coat on the south facing side tomorrow - needs doing every year because the sun just causes the paint to flake off. Boring, hateful job!
I do hope everything is alright with Chive. She has a lot on her plate at the moment and might not have time for posting, but I'm a bit worried that things might not be ok with her mum. A bad fall can be life changing. Kind thoughts for them both x

T'bird, it was hard day but when you have so much veggies you must work. Sun cream, hat and go on. I must admit that I felt little bit dizzy when I came home after working outside.
It wasn't great night but I'm managed to sleep and rest a bit. It will be one more hot day but I don't have any obligation, so it will be lazy day.
Morning @Ante30 and all to follow Been awake since just before 6. Have come down for a cup of tea. Its been raining during the night, everything is very wet again. Had been hoping to cut the grass this morning, but it's far too wet again. Hope you all slept well last night. @Chivetalking hope everything is going well for your mum. Take care of yourself too. X
