Lovely to hear from you Chive and some positive news. It will be so nice for your Mum to get home to her own familiar surroundings.
Just had a text from Bestie. We have had to cancel our meet up today as her daughter is quite poorly and she is waiting for an appointment with the Doctor so I'm crossing my fingers that the rain stops and I can get some cutting back done as its green bin day this week. Sorry SGL, I thought I had posted a pic before but here you go:

Lily ,OH days are a bit up and down .Docs told him that the headache could get worse for a while .
Since the injections he has blacked out three times, which has put him back . We are hoping for progress soon . I was wrong about the injections being monthly ,they are three monthly . I guess it will, take some time for OHs body to adjust considering how long he has had the pain . Thank you for asking .I hope that your OH is feeling well .

Good morning Ruby. Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear about your OH. As you say, let's hope in this period of adjustment to his new meds, these occurrences become fewer and fewer.

    Good morning all.

We may go for a drive today around the North Norfolk coast. I expect there will be a lot of traffic as it's holiday season. OH gets so bored and frustrated not being able to walk far.

It's cool and cloudy, the warm weather forecast this week has been pushed to next week.

I've changed the bedding, took half an hour, used to take me 10 minutes. The joys of getting older, joints are wearing out.

@Busy-Lizzie do you know East Runton ... there's a cliff-top car park with a good view out over the sea, and also a shelter with seats at the top of the cliffs, only 50m or less from the car park entrance at the top of 'The Gap' (steep slope down to the beach).   It's a great place to sit and watch the sea for a bit, when one's knee (or hip) isn't up to walking far.  If you go to East Runton from Cromer, you find the car park by turning right immediately past the Greek Restaurant on the right as soon as you get into the village proper ... the car park is on the right a few yards down the lane.

The car park also has public loos which are usually pretty well cared for.

Chive ... best wishes to your mum ... it's great that she's managing to walk a bit ... that's really important for her recovery ... and hopefully getting home and feeling positive will help too.  Best wishes to you both.

  • Chive so good to hear of mums progress.  She’s been through quite an ordeal.  Hopefully she’ll have further physio and support for when she gets home.  She’ll make a gradual recovery over time and she’ll be so relieved it’s behind her, but small steps.  Wishing you both well.

Afternoon everyone,  went H@##yc&$@☆t didn't find any ideas birthday wise for Poppet2 but did buy some paints, brushes etc for Poppet1 & 2 for a little gift just because 😉
@Chivetalking so good to 'see' you and great news that your mum is improving day by day.  Physio and walking with her frame with help with her confidence. Bet she's looking forward to being back in her own home, nothing like your own bed. Hope you carry on getting help at home. Take care and look after yourself too x
@Ladybird4 love Nemo, bet Sofia has great fun with her 'aquarium of fish'
Have been sitting in the garden this afternoon, but its clouded over and has got a bit breezy.

Afties all. I have managed to dodge the showers and get quite a bit done in the garden. My compost bin is full and my green bin is full and I'm finished now.
Debs, I meant to say that your recipe for rhubarb cordial is gorgeous. I reuse the rhubarb after its been in the sieve to mix with other rhubarb and I make my crumble with that. I do take out the ginger slices though. How about this for an idea as well? I passed on the recipe to one of my friends, she made it up and put some into ice cube trays, froze it and popped the resulting cubes into her gin! She says its wonderful! I have to say I haven't tried that version myself yet!  I've also passed the recipe on to Chey - told him I got it from you. He is going to make it but without the ginger.
