Good morning Hazel and all to follow later. Sorry you've had a broken night Hazel, there is nothing worse in my opinion. Maybe you have managed to get back to sleep.
Busy, I love your observation. It is so true!

Thank you everyone for your comments about my Bestie's daughter. I will keep you up to date about her progress.
Chive, I hope your Mum is recovering slowly and that she will be home now. Life does seem to make that twist on us where the person who raised us from being tiny and looked after us through all our growing up then becomes the person that we have to look after.
Yvie, I hope that you are coping and if you get chance to look in we are thinking about you.
All good wishes to those in the quiet corner.

Morning LB and all to follow.
@Songbird-1 hope you managed to get back to sleep after a disturbed night. Have a restful day.
It's very breezy and grey skies this morning. Definitely looking more like October than August.
@Ladybird4 hope your friends daughters hospital appointment goes well today. Keeping everything crossed 🤞
I'm off to the toy shops this morning, need to get Poppet2 a birthday present. I could be some time 😉
@Chivetalking if you're looking in, thinking of you and your mum. Take care x
    Have a good day everyone

Good morning SGL and Ruby. SGL, you will have a wonderful time in the toy shop. Don't forget that you have to test and try EVERYTHING - well that would be my excuse anyway!

    Morning all,

Work day 14 of 50 not that I'm counting down ;)

Did a quick lap earlier - trimmed and propped up the (mostly) cornflowers that were flopping due to the soaking they've had over the last few days. Poor beggars - they manage to avoid any visits from the Shauns but then fall over anyway!

Hello everyone ... have been busy helping son who is busy trying help a refugee neighbour whose parents and sister are still in Kabul and in hiding ... they are very vulnerable due to their professions .... horrendous situation.  I doubt that there's anything that can be done, but son feels he can't just ignore his neighbour's pleas for help and is doing what he can by emailing anyone he can think of who might be able to help ....... very very sad times ... all we can do is show that we care, by trying to help.  :'(

Afties all. I've been visiting my friend who I take to our Canasta sessions. These are starting up again on September 10th so both of us are looking forward to that. She had just received a new 🍏 gizmo. I am not familiar with this brand but I followed instructions and helped her to get it all set up. She is visually handicapped so I could read all the titchy stuff and then bluetooth did the rest. She is delighted as her pictures look so much better than on her redundant gizmo. It did actually stop raining too so it was a bonus all round. I had to smile as there was a little black and white cat curled up on a chair in her conservatory. It belongs to a neighbour but comes round every day for a sleep.
