@Rubee ... I could probably manage one bacon butty ... I got extra bacon at the farm shop the other day because son will be doing sound and stuff at a festival in Norfolk this week, so he and another techie have said they may drop round for bacon butties ... thought I'd better stock up ... I could probably spare a couple of rashers tho' ... granary baps ok? If you want white you'll have to wait until I make some tomorrow ...

Forecast is being ignored again here. Been a reasonably bright morning. Spent an hour deadheading, weeding and pruning. At least two different pests on the roses removed (hopefully). The garden waste bin is starting to fill up again nicely
Sorry @Songbird-1 - I'm off out for a run shortly. I'm hoping I feel good enough to go further than the regular 4-mile plod
Hello all. Been a busy couple of days as we're going away again on Thursday and there's lots to be done in the garden before we go. Mainly cutting lots of large evergreen shrubs like viburnum tinus and eleagnus. They can't be cut back any earlier because they are the birds favourite shrubs for nesting. It was doing that job that mucked my arm up last year so I'm limiting myself to 2 shrubs per day this time and wearing a very good arm brace.
I've also been tasked with finding MIL a new lawnmower because hers is broken. She only has a small lawn and she is only about 4' 8" tall and very petite so I'm hoping the very light electric one I found will be ok. She seems to think it will. It's a decent make and had good reviews so fingers crossed. Can't even begin to imagine allowing somebody to choose a lawnmower for me or buying one without seeing it first. It's be like buying a car without a test drive...
Hope all those who are feeling poorly perk up again soon. Very draining to feel off colour for more than a day.
Wouldn't say no to a bacon buttie for my lunch Dove - can you make the bacon dead crispy please??? 😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Five and a bit miles of steady plodding with no adverse affects. In this age of conspiracy theories, I propose that I've been injected with a water-based placebo vaccination, which has had zero impact on my physiology Or, as my eldest, suggested, "Dad you're just immune to everything"
Our new neighbours have started to move in. Judging by what is hanging on our mutual fence, the first car load was plants and flowers. I'm taking that as a good sign!
