I've been working too, but not in the garden - saying nowt  ;)

Afternoon everyone - and a rather damp one it is too. Garden is loving it.

Who are all these people doing unmentionables. Makes me feel a bit guilty... (don't worry I'll be over it by the time I've finished this mug of tea). Very little hswrk gets done here between clock changes - just enough so the dirt's not too obvious.

Have been out dropping off 9 kart carburettors for re-kitting (or something) and SM run. Then this afternoon OH has emptied and cleaned the m'home and I've made a frittata for tea.

Chive - I do hope today has gone well for your mum and that she's able to come home before too long

Have a good evening everyone - looking forward to quiz night on the TV.

... and the guilt about hswrk has gone😉
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Hazel it will have been good having a visit from the family.  LB have a rest now after your gardening.  Enjoy the quizzes.

Hi all, been in bed most of the day after an upset stomach kept me up all night and gave me a splitting headache. Feeling a bit better now not sure what caused it, not food poisoning as everyone else is fine maybe a bug though I do suffer with stomach problems when stressed. I am finding it difficult putting on a brave face and being positive when inside I am so terribly worried about my little girl. Nothing anyone can do so trying not to burden anyone with it but it’s hard.
Chive hope mom is recovering from her operation
Topbitd I too struggle to be interested in housework and do the bare minimum most of the time.
LB a day in the garden for me tomorrow I think.

Hello all. I had just finished tidying up all my tools etc and toting stuff to the green bin when, without any warning whatsoever, it deluged down again. I was glad I had done the jobs though.
T'Bird - I have no idea what you are talking about when you mention carburettor re-kitting but it sounds very intricate. Are they carburettors from 9 karts or does 1 kart have 9 carburettors? (I think I just asked a very stupid question there! Twonk!)
Debs, I am very sorry to hear that you were feeling unwell. It is to be understood with all your concerns about you daughter. I'm sure you are keeping your worries away from her, which can't be easy but, as I said earlier, she needs you to be strong for her. Has she had any results from her batch of tests the other day?
The garden will be very therapeutic.

TBird I do very little housework during the gardening season . I haven’t got the energy for both . As long as beds , bathroom and kitchen are clean anything else will have to wait .
Debs I know how hard it must be for you .Try to rest when you can .
  • Debs sorry to hear your finding things difficult.  As Rubee says, rest for the rest of the day and I hope your stomach problems lessen.

    Evening all,

It's been a lovely day here - torture when you want to be outside all day but can't :(

However, I did manage a 5-mile run at lunchtime. Don't tell my boss ;) Got to be some perks to working from home hasn't there?

Evening Biglad. All the more perks when you have retired!
Wow, Uni Chall was a hard one tonight and in Only Connect I learned a horrific fact I was unaware of - the last guillotining in France took place in 1977!

Hazel, I meant to say earlier, what a lovely surprise you received today with the visit from 23 and family. Did 23 really mean that you wouldn't see them again until that festive season we don't mention yet?
