Morning everyone, The big round yellow thing is in the sky again this morning. I do hope it stays all day again. Had a good night's sleep, but feel tired still this morning. Have a few indoor jobs to do and then hopefully get out in the garden. Plants and shrubs have grown like mad with all the rain we've had. Have a lovely day catching up you three, hope the weather stays dry for you. Are you going to a NT? Have a lovely day everyone Need another cup of tea ☕☕
Morning all. Weather is looking warm and dry for our meet up today. It's Dove, BL and myself but we'll also be meeting Didyw for the first time. Going to Peter Beales roses. We'll have a mooch round the garden, eat some lunch and talk the hind legs off several animals. Looking forward to it😎
Yesterday, cut back a ton of stuff in the border which is increasingly difficult to get into due to roses, low branches etc etc. I also have a bit of a green oasis. On the plus side that means not much dead heading.
It also means we've had more of the wet stuff than usual. That's why I rarely complain about rain - just so nice to see everything looking green and lush instead of brown and shrivelled. The hostas are a mini disaster this year though. I'd like to describe them as pretty and lacy but they're just a well munched mess🤨 Swings and roundabouts. At least I didn't bother growing tomatoes this year...
LB - the pictures of the floods in Europe and now the wildfires really are horrific. They're the true disasters.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
SGL, I'll be nipping in and out between the Marti and cutting back where needed - which is basically everywhere.
T'Bird, have a lovely time at Peter Beales with Busy, Dove and Didyw. I wonder if you will all be able to resist the temptations you will be faced with!
Hazel, no bouncing on your new mattress when it is installed!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all. Looks as though it will be a lovely sunny day for our meet up. Peter Beales is so tempting but I'm a bit short of space. I used to take plants back to France but can't now, dratted Brexit. I'll be going back on the 22nd, have to leave OH behind.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Just seen my OH off in the ambulance. I hope this treatment works .It would be lovely if the headaches were reduced or went away completely. He has had a headache since the early eighties after an accident .
Morning Busy - have a lovely day. You could always get one of those roses that suit conatainer growing It will be a wrench leaving your OH especially as you were hoping that he would have had his op by now.
Ruby, I cannot even begin to imagine how horrendous a headache lasting so long could be. I am never going to whinge about a headache again hearing that news. Got everything crossed that he will finally start to get some relief from this treatment - which is almost as extreme in itself.

Thank you for your kindness Hazel . Ambulance will bring OH home. Docs were waiting for him when he got to the ward .He  phoned me a few minutes ago to say he was waiting for the ambulance . He has had 31 out of a possible 39 injections . He said the injections were painful but over quickly .Now we wait for a few days to see if the injections have worked . If so there will be injections about once a month . LB thank you so much for your good wishes .
Love the cosmos Biglad.  Topbird, Busy and Dove have a lovely day today.  LB I played Canasta in my younger days.  I’m glad your group is starting up again.  It will be fun.  Lily my plants have also grown like mad some cutting back and extensive weeding to do.  I’m glad you slept,so did I. Hazel good news your oh is having his ears done today.  He’ll be chuffed to be able to hear again.  Don’t use Qtips though as a temporary fix as they can damage your ear.  I hope the mattress arrives on time.  Busy I’m glad you’re enjoying your time in the UK before you go back on 22nd.  I do hope oh can be sorted soon.  These things do seem to drag on.  Enjoy your day everyone.  Rubee so pleased oh will be back soon by ambulance.  Warm wishes to you both x.

Must go to B&Q on the way back to get some sandpaper - think we're going to tackle painting the shed tomorrow & Friday. 😩 Don't like doing that job.
