Off to do my last lot of cat duties for now. It is looking a bit dismal outside but not as bad as Tokyo yesterday!

    Morning all,

Gloomy here. Will be very happy to get this week done. Half of 10-week contract completed :)

  • Morning LB and everyone to follow.
Doesn't feel as chilly this morning and the sky doesn't look so grey.
OH is having his eyes checked this morning. And I might pick a few things up from SM. We've cancelled our delivery as we really don't need much this week.
Can't believe its Friday already, this week went quick.
Have a lovely catch up and meal with your friends LB
    Have a lovely day everyone.
  • Oops sorry @Biglad Morning! 🙋🏻‍♀️ you
weren't there just now. Those 10
    weeks went quick.

Morning Biglad and SGL. Well done on the 50% achieved so far Biglad. You are about to start the downward slide now.
Its quite warm outside SGL but it would be even better with a glimpse of that golden ball in the sky. I'll be interested to hear if you spot any big gaps on the SM shelves when you pop in.

  • I'll let you know LB. When I popped in one day last week to get a couple of bits, they had a lot of empty spaces in the frozen section. Also that well known Pickle was completely empty. As was Pasta and some biscuits 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good morning all over 200 posts since I was last on so have not read back but hope all are well?
Difficult few days here, daughter was so upset over her dress that she had an aggravated “flare” of her MS and was very unwell. That dress is now up for sale and another one has been chosen. Fiancé came off his motorbike Monday night after a deer ran into his path and is very badly bruised though no serious injury done he is struggling to move around. More problems with the van but at least we now have a loan car and work is very difficult as branches have closed overnight and we are all worried about our jobs.
Feeling rather drained and struggling to stay positive.
Will read back now sorry to pot a dampener on already damp day.

    Morning all.

I'm sorry about the dress @debs64, after all the bother with the sleeves. I hope you won't be too out of pocket and I hope daughter is happy with the new one. I hope fiancé is OK and heals quickly. How worrying about your jobs, hope it doesn't come to that.

It rained a bit in the night. More rain forecast with thunderstorms this afternoon.

I've run out of instant coffee, urgent trip to Leclerc SM. Will pop into the small GC to see if they have any daffodil bulbs yet, they didn't last week.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • OH @debs64 so sorry to hear that your daughters dress didn't work out. Such a shame that the place you bought it from couldn't have swapped dresses for you as it was them that gave you wrong advice for alterations. Or at least made some offer towards a new one. What a week you've had, hope your fiancee is ok and things work out well with your job. Sending a hug and very best wishes to you all. x

Hope you manage to get everything at the SM @Songbird-1
@Busy-Lizzie hope you get back home before the storms.
