Morning everyone. Yvie your cake looks great. The young ones will have enjoyed it. LB Alfie loves playing with his soft ball. My Ed used to fetch the ball like your Smokey. Debs the food looks lovely. Busy enjoy your day it will be interesting to see what they have. Biglad you must have had a great time.
Thanks Rubee and bluebells (Rosie?). Back from probably the biggest flea market I've ever seen. It filled the 2 car parks and the village square. Parking was well organised, in a field. The lovely couple who helped with my house move were there, holding a stall for charity. There were nearly as many English voices as French and a lot of Dutch too. I couldn't find the sale in the smaller village, maybe the person who put the ad on the English website got muddled, both village names start with V. I didn't buy anything, in fact I've never seen such a load of rubbish! Interesting and animated though. Guitarists in the village square and people having drinks on the café terraces.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I used to travel quite a bit with it @Ladybird4. Telford, Southport, Barrow, Gateshead, Grimsby, Mansfield and all points in between. I thought I was confined to the north-west now but apparently not
Bit hot for running this morning but got it done and finally my relaxing weekend can start
Hello all ... you all seem to be having a good weekend It's another pickling day here ... more than enough runner beans picked and no room in the freezer so, as we had a cauliflower, carrots, shallots and other veg in the fridge another batch of veg has been cut up, sprinkled with salt and will be turned into piccalilli tomorrow. Then this afternoon there's gammon to cook for supper and some work waiting for me in the studio. Have a lovely Sunday afternoon all

Hazel I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain with your spine. I do hope it eases soon. The sun has been out here too. People passing in summer clothes making the most of the weather. I’ve had a few boxes that needed processing for the bin so I’ve sorted those, fed Alfie and I’ve done some pottering. I could have done with Biglad for the boxes but all done. It’s not what you do it’s the way you do it. 😁.
Hello everyone. It has been a rather nice day here today. When I got back from seeing the rellies I decided to get Lily's TV into action again before ringing Jack. I called him at 11:30 and he was just getting up. Asked me to give him 5 minutes! Eventually got over there and discovered I could lift the panel out on my own - told you it was only a little one about 6'x2' in old money. Anyway, he did manage to get it stained and I went over again and slotted it back into place without any trouble. The warm weather helped dry it quite quickly. Jack's daughter was there making his dinner so I didn't hang around. I'll fetch my cloth things in shortly. Then I think I'm done for the day.
SGL, handy brother has still not found a bungalow. they seem to be in very short supply at the moment but he's got the Estate Agents on his case.
Debs those desserts look so pretty - all my favourites. There is a little niche market for you Debs, you could grow edible flowers at your allotment for the catering trade. Just a thought.
Gosh Biglad, you do get about. I am beginning to think that you are a very GOOD referee and are too modest to admit it. You have named several of my old stamping grounds there.
Busy, you have been buzzing around again visiting the marché aux puces. I think with the current awareness now of many various collectables, it must be difficult to find anything worthy at all.
Happy preserving Dove. I hope that you have somewhere nice and cool to store all your pickles.
Hazel, do you think your aches and pains could have been aggravated by your bike ride yesterday? It seems too much of a coincidence. Hope it eases for you soon.
Ruby. I am pleased to hear that you OH is more rested and relaxed recently. When does he go for his next lot of injections? I think you did tell us so please forgive my forgetfulness.
RosieBB, I have de-cluttering at the top of my 'to do' list.
