  • Morning everyone,
Didn't sleep much last night, woke up just after 2 and was still wide awake at almost 5. Must have dozed off, but woke again just after 7. Still trying to come to.
I'm going to go back to get another hydrangea today.
@Ladybird4 it certainly is. Can't wait to see the next episode. Haven't seen the new Silent Witness yet.
@debs64 that tree will be perfect. Its a lovely gift.
Beautiful sunny morning again, hope you all have a lovely day.

Good morning SGL. Silent Witness is worth watching. I'll say no more! I had a night very much like you did. I've been and done a lot of watering, planted out some delosperma and consigned some more faded annuals to my compost bin which is 'cooking' away nicely. In to grab a cuppa before more tidying up.

  • good morning all.  I visited the rellies and took a prescription to the surgery for dad.   Potteringthis afternoon.  Enjoy your day.  I’ll join LB for a cuppa.
  • Afternoon everyone, bit of a scorcher here today. I've just got back from another visit to the GC to collect the hydrangea the lady kindly reserved for me. Had another look round as I would like a couple more pots. But the ones I liked were very expensive. Don't really need them till next year anyway so will carry on looking.
Hope you find the Clematis you want  @Songbird-1 I'd like a climber of some sort to go up a large obelisk. Quite fancy a jasmine or honeysuckle.
Time for a sandwich and cup of tea. See you later

Hazel , I thought I saw Rouge Cardinal on the big river site . Just checked and they have .
  • @Songbird-1    yes I did  Hazel. This one was more manageable than yesterday's  😂  It's very pretty, it's called Ophelia.  Hope you manage to get the clematis on the big river. I've never thought of getting plants from there.
    Having another cup of tea.

  • Hazel I donlove honeysuckle.  I hope you find your clematis.  It’s warm out and I’ve finished pottering.  No rellies visits tomorrow so I’ll go out after breakfast and do some more.  It’s chillier in the home and I have a cardigan on.  Lily my grandma had a hydrangea going back.  They are a lovely plant.  I think I’ll join you in having a cup of tea.

Hello all. I didn't have time to post this morning. I had an appointment at my bank in town as one of my savings accounts has matured and done quite well. The bank wanted to know whether to re-invest or to put the money in my current account. I've decided on the latter so I don't need to worry about any more house improvements, like doing the grouting between the stonework on the outside dining room wall. I wish the plumber would come and fit the new bath.

I had a mooch around town and bought a long sleeved top which I'll leave in Norfolk when I'm next there. Then I went to see F, my friend in the village, she invited me for lunch. We had a good natter and she showed me round her garden. Now that I've moved house I don't see her much.

Wood man came when I got back, he has delivered 6 m3 logs, he is also the English builder. Should last for a bit, but he's dumped them from his tipping trailer where I park my car in the garage so I think I'll stack them neatly around the side. Keep me exercised during the rain which is forecast!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Have you any plans for a future return to Norfolk Busy or is it dependent on whether your OH gets his operation date? Pace yourself moving the logs .
