Hi folks, LB your morning facebook post made both of us laugh out loud. I've been out and about today. Went to Webbs garden centre as I could have got 20% off plants with my club card but everything looked bedraggled and awful so I didn't buy anything. Popped in Ashwoods on our way back and not a droopy or dead leaf in sight. Everything was in beautiful condition. Got some violas to tart up the pots. Gave the garden a good soak tonight so it's bound to rain tomorrow. Hubby has an appt tomorrow at the Eye Hospital and I have one on Friday re my gall bladder. Hope we don't have too long to wait.
Beautiful pics TBird . Take care on you return journey .You will know the weather is turning .Yvie good you found some nice plants at the second gc .Fingers for you and OHs hospital appointments . I am signing out .Goodnight folks .
Evening everyone, we got back from poppets about 7.30 and then at 8 the heavens opened and it hammered down for about an hour and half. We also had a thunder and lightning right overhead for quite awhile. Storms have stopped, but still raining. Beautiful photos @Topbird thank you for sharing. Sorry you haven't had good weather. Safe journey home. Hi @Yviestevie good to see you. Hope all goes well with your OH appointment. Will say goodnight too, sleep well everyone.
Had a doze in front of the football and back on duty now. I need to send a couple of e-mails to the US before I turn in.
The toms are definitely turning - very exciting for a first-time grower. All the lower branches have been removed @Ladybird4. Most of the foliage in that photo belongs to the chilli plants that are in the mini greenhouse as well. Wonder if any of those fancy turning red anytime soon. Thunderstorms on the way tomorrow, apparently. That won't help the ripening process Â
Yvie I hope all goes well with the hospital appointments for tomorrow and Friday.  I do hope you don’t have long to wait.  I love violas.  Lily im glad you enjoyed your visit with the young ones.  The forecast is rain ahead.  Thunder and lightening can be quite disconcerting.  It’s good it’s over.  I hope you didn’t get wet.  Chive I hope things are improving for mum.  Sending my best wishes to you both.  It’s chilly here tonight.  Goodnight.
It has been raining here in the night as everywhere was wet when I collected my milk off the step. Not had the thunderstorms as yet SGL, but they are on the cards for later - probably just as I head out to my Bestie's! Still very warm.
Good to see you Yvie and to hear about your plant purchase. I love the little 'faces' that violas have. Hope both your OH's and your appointments go well.

Well even though we had an almighty storm last night, it's still very muggy. No sunshine though. The lightning was very close together and right overhead. It lit up the conservatory 🌩🌩
We didn't get wet @bluebellsinthewild got in just in time. Rain did the plants good though.
Love the pic @Ladybird4 😂 Have a lovely catch up with your friends.
Hope you get everything in your food delivery @Rubee 🤞
@Songbird-1 hope the storms aren't too bad.Â
Best wishes to you and your mum @ChivetalkingÂ
Have a lovely day everyoneÂ
