    Hello all.

I hope your OH is OK @Rubee, must be quite a shock when he passes out.

    Good news LB.

I've been to the market and the SM this morning. Son 2 and family are coming to lunch on Sunday. His lovely French wife would like English sausages, I get them in the market. By the time I'd bought 2 melons, a kilo of sausages, a large pot of Bovril (for Son, Brexit has stopped me from bringing it over) and a large head of broccoli my bag was really heavy. Then I saw a stall selling bags and he had shopping trolleys with 3 wheels on each side for going up steps, so I bought one, what a relief! I was able to continue looking round in comfort.

Good afternoon everyone. Very sorry to hear that your OH has had another black out Ruby. I do hope he is recovered now. Busy, that was a serendipitous purchase as you had so much to carry about with you. I like the idea of a shopping trolley design that makes going up steps easier. Hazel, I hope that you are pleased with your trip to the hairdresser.
I've had a marvellous afternoon. It was lovely seeing all the Canasta players again. Getting back to normal is great. Next meet is in a fortnight. It was interesting to see what had popped up whilst we've been away - a new cinema and a huge M&S food outlet. It got very hot again after yesterday's rain and I was lathered by the time I walked up the lane home.

I'm so sorry about your daughter, Hazel, I hope her symptoms calm down.

I'm glad you've enjoyed your afternoon LB.

I've spent a lot of the afternoon stacking logs, nearly finished. Knackered.

P came and Caesar the donkey is now going easily into my trailer, bribed with maize which he loves. P has pumped up the tyres, repaired an indicator and oiled whatever needs oiling. He's coming with a friend at 6am to take Caesar to his new home, it's a long drive.

Hazel, I meant to add that I was sorry to hear that your daughter has some more new symptoms. A worrying time for all I'm sure.
I wonder if SGL is pooped after the visit of Poppet 3. If the weather improved as it did here I'm sure a walk to see the ducks was a distinct possibility.
I do hope that Caesar travels well to his new home Busy. How long a journey do you think it will be?

Evening all. We've made it home through some heavy rain but everything here is driza bone 🤨 - lots of yellow lawns as we drove through the village - think the hose will be busy this weekend. Van is unpacked, couple of loads of washing done and (hopefully) the random piles of stuff will get sorted tomorrow.

Rubee and Hazel - sorry to hear your OH / daughter's health problems continue to develop - very worrying for both of you. I'm glad Bluebells was there to help today Rubee.

LB - nice to be able to get back to doing normal things again isn't it? Glad you had a good day

BL - hope all goes well with the donkey. I'd be a little sad to see him go.

Dove - good you can go to stay with MIL if you're both uncomfortable being at home during next door's asbestos works. When do you head for Cornwall?

Need a little brandy now to help me sleep. Been so busy this afternoon my brain is buzzing. Sleep well everyone 😴

  • Hazel sorry to hear about your daughter and she will appreciate your ongoing support.  I hope she has some positive news.  LB it’s good to hear you enjoyed canasta with your friends.  You’ll be looking forward to the next one.  Busy it will be sad for Caesar to go and I hope he soon settles when he arrives after his early start.  Topbird it will be good to be home and put your feet up tonight.  Goodnight everyone.
  • @Rubee so very sorry to hear about OH glad that @bluebellsinthewild was with you to help. Do hope he's feeling better this evening.
@Songbird-1 sorry to hear your daughter has been feeling so poorly lately.  I can imagine how worried you must be feeling. My very best wishes to you and your family.
@Ladybird4 glad you enjoyed canasta  and a catch up with your friends.
The sun came out here too this afternoon and we had a walk through the woods and then fed the  ducks. I am a bit tired, he does have so much energy 😂😂
@Busy-Lizzie that was a good buy after getting so much food shopping today. I think I would be very sad to see the donkey go too.
@Topbird sorry you had such bad weather on the drive home. Bet you sleep well tonight, back in your own bed.
Will say goodnight everyone, sleep well and sweet dreams.

I noticed today that my Katsura tree leaves are all turning golden and falling and the smell of candy floss around the tree is quite delicious. The leaves on my Crimson King are turning brown and falling too. I think Autumn is creeping up on us!
I would be sad seeing Caesar leave too but I think he might be happier with some company. Only guessing Busy but is he going somewhere where they have other critters?
T'Bird, never mind the 'little' go for 'big'!
