Good morning, sunshine today after rain but more rain forecast.  LB, as you say, well done to Emma Raducanu, getting through.  I’ve had my first cup of tea, lovely.  Enjoy the canasta.  Have a good day everyone.  Dove are you ready for your holiday?

Ruby, well done on the sort out of all the clothing, that is one of my ongoing tasks.
I have just learned that the latest family baby - due in January - is a girl so another great niece for me. My niece-in-law had arranged through Memmo Me UK (other greetings formats available) for John Barnes (ex Liverpool and England footballer) to pass on the happy news again to her OH. It was pleasing to see that the message was presented exactly as if JB was in the room with my nephew as he made reference to his business and of course the new baby. These are the two who got married in the Lake District 2 years ago (21st September). Nephew is a staunch Liverpool supporter (well some one has to be!) so that message will have pleased him doubly. Knitting will now go into overdrive Ruby and Hazel!

  • Morning everyone,
Sorry not a tennis fan, so have no idea who Emma Raducanu is. But well done.
Poppet3 is coming today, so I'm going move a few things out of the lounge😂 don't want to be saying don't touch all the time 😉 a visit to the ducks if the weather is kind.
    Enjoy cantata @Ladybird4
    Safe journey home @Topbird
    Have a lovely day everyone
Time for another cup of tea

Morning Ruby and RosieBB, you snuckered in there. I hope that your weather is kind to you today and maybe a little pottering in your garden will be possible. RosieBB a bit of play with Alfie might be on the cards today.
Just spotted a mob of school children walking to the high school in the village - good sign - no rain.

Morning SGL, a very sensible move in clearing the decks a bit. I can remember as a small person wanting to investigate everything in my great aunts home. They had a pair of red lusters on the mantelpiece which totally fascinated me, especially the way the light danced through them on the walls. When I see them now in antiques shops I have to say that the childhood fascination has not lasted!
p.s. have a lovely time with Poppet 3!

  • Lol Bluebells ... it's a good job I prepare for things well in advance  ... looks like we may be heading to stay with mother in law early next week as next door are having some asbestos removed from their roof, and as OH's lovely father died of mesolthelioma OH and I try to keep away from such goings on.  They're having a proper registered company do the work, but we'd just prefer not to be around while they do it.  So it's a good job I've done all the washing etc for our holiday already, isn't it?  o:)

  • Congratulations @Ladybird4 on soon to become a Great Auntie again. Your post wasn't there when I posted before.
You're going to be busy knitting little cardies etc as well as LOD figures 🤗
Just started raining here, so feeding the ducks could be off 😥
    Have a good day everyone

Congratulations on the news of a new baby in the family LB .
OH passed out on the kitchen floor this morning . I was glad that Bluebell was with us . OH is 6ft tall and goes with quite  a bang when he blacks out . As usual won’t have doc or an ambulance .I will keep an eye on him for the rest of the day .
  • LB congratulations for you and the expecting parents that is good news.  Lily we have intermittent rain and sun today.  Hope yours clears for sunshine.  Hazel enjoy your time at the hairdressers today.  Dove I’m sorry to hear of your ohs father having mesothelioma.  Sadly, there were so many cases of this.  I can remember using asbestos mats in our science classes and was used widely without knowing the risks.  Enjoy your time with your mil .  I hope the work is completed soon.  I had to have mine done and they were all togged up and resembled CSI.
