T'Bird, I love York. Two of my brothers were born there. There are so many nice places to eat as well - spoilt for choice. Thai food, yum. I can smell the lemongrass from here.
Busy you sound as though you have had a lovely family weekend too. Don't they say that if a baby cries when water is poured on it's head that that is the noise of the devil leaving it?
RosieBB, I'm glad that you are getting used to your new mobile.

I haven't heard that before, LB, but I can't believe the devil is in any baby. It's just the shock, I hope the water was warm. Glad you enjoyed your family day too.

@Busy-Lizzie glad you had a lovely weekend with your family and that the weather was kind to you.
@Topbird hope you enjoyed your anniversary day and meal. We've been to York a few times, sounds like its changed a lot since we were there.
@Ladybird4 I've left one hanging basket as the trailing Fuchsia is still going strong, but the other one I took down today. I cut the last of the sweet peas...although there could have been a few more. But I decided it looked a bit stragley  and dug those up. A few pots looked rather sorry for themselves too so all that is now in the garden bin ready to be collected Tuesday.
The weather was rather cool this afternoon even though the sun was shining.
@Chivetalking sending you and your mum my best wishes. Take care.
Will say goodnight too, sleep well everyone sweet dreams

Glad you both had good, fun times with the families LB & BL - sounds as though you both had better weather than us. We've both been absolutely freezing today.

However, the Thai meal really warmed us up. It was excellent food, delicately spiced and just the right sized portions to allow us to have a good selection of different plates. An excellent find thank you Trip Advisor (sometimes it works!).

Night all - heading off into the Dales tomorrow🙂

Good morning everyone. Cat sitting duties start this afternoon. Its nothing major to be honest - just seeing that the two cats are fed twice a day and any trophies are removed! I only have to do this up until Friday morning so its only the horrid road to contend with.
Happy onward voyage to the Happy Wanderer and her OH.

    Good morning all.
Should be warm and sunny, but it's only 9° at the moment.

The builder is due to come soon. I must open the electric gate.

Hello all … looks as if we had done rain overnight but it’s dry now  … hopefully it’ll stay dry for the rest of the day  🤞
Glad you had a lovely anniversary meal @Topbird  and that others’ family celebrations went well 🎉
OH is at work today so I will continue with brining and pickling … have a good day 😊

Morning Busy, Ruby and Dove. Busy I hope that the electrics woke well for you today. Ruby, I might be doing some of that today too.
