@Chivetalking thinking of you and your mum. My very best wishes to you both x
  • I’ve laid awake for a few hours and after a call for the wild I decided to get up.  Alfie was also awake.  I’m wrapped in my cape ready to make a cup of tea.  It seems certain nights we sleep and others we lay awake.  I do hope you’re having a sleep night.

ive noticed the temperature has dropped and it’s definitely not feeling like summer.  I’ve switched the Paralympics on channel 4 and watching the women’s’ 100 metres.

Good morning RosieBB. I was watching that too and further coverage from the velodrome. I did get back to sleep for a short while. Looking foward to the day now.

Good morning to everyone who will join us later. It's a Bank Holiday weekend (all weekends are Bank Holidays fo me) so fingers crossed it stays nice for everyone - especially T'Bird's OH who will be cycling on another marathon stretch.

    Hello all 😃
Hope all us going well @Topbird 😊
Norwich’s centre had begun to change pre Covid … rent and rates in some parts were crazy … there has also been a big emphasis on encouraging business and shoppers to The Lanes area which has possibly been to the detriment of the Royal Arcade area … there’s only so many businesses to go around and if they can set up shop in a cheaper area that’s on ‘the up’ that’s what they’ll do …  it does leave the Arcade with rather a ‘gappy grin’.

I think the property owners and those who set the business rates will have to have a rethink post covid … the city centre and the area around the market are the jewel in Norwich’s crown and needs to be treated as such, rather than as a milch cow.  :/
    Rant over 😉

We have a sunny morning here … hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend. 😎

Good morning Dove - you snuckered in there. I feel that Norwich's woes are echoed in many places around the country. The heart has been ripped out of many smaller towns.
