    Evening everyone,
OH didn't have Zoom Pilates today as the lady has gone away for a few days. So we both went to Poppets early and ended up staying  to tea and got back later than usual . Had a lovely time and loved seeing the girls. Can't believe it's nearly the end of the school holidays.
I'd Love to see the dress too @debs64 ......perhaps a before and after. Hope the sleeves work well and your daughter is pleased and a bit more relaxed. So glad things are sorted.
@Songbird-1 glad your new chairs have arrived. Bet they look beautiful together.
@Ladybird4 Oh dear, hope Jack remembers to lock the doors in future.
@Topbird have a lovely time away. Safe journey.

Will say night night too, sleep well everyone.

A (very late) Good Evening everyone. Yes we have started our trip away but we didn't leave home until 4.30pm - too much to do with grass cutting / dead heading etc etc.

Tomorrow morning I shall drop OH off at Ness Point (the most easterly spot on the UK mainland) and he'll then cycle to our next camp site at Swaffham while I drive the campervan there. I shall be going via Norwich. Have a ticket for the Museum of Norwich (not been before) & I might also pop to the Art Supplies shop @Dovefromabove was telling me about the other week. Can't buy much though - we're a tad tight for space!

We'll be hopping along moving 50 - 60 miles a day until OH reaches Ardnamurchan point in Scotland (the most westerly point on the mainland. It will take 12 days and I have  activities planned for about 9 of them at the moment - mostly museums and Nat Trust properties. Fingers crossed for reasonable weather and no head winds!

Glad the wedding dress situation has been resolved Debs - hope they make a good job of the alterations.

Good to hear things might be starting to change for the better for Chey - the last few years have been very difficult for him.

    Good morning everybody.

I am looking forward to going out for lunch today with the lady I take to Canasta. We are going to a Pub called The Sea View - which I think is poetic licence as even standing on tippy toes on its chimney (if it has one!), there is no way that the sea could be viewed. It will be fun.
I also have to make a shopping list as this Sunday is the family BBQ (only 31 of us going this time) and I've been asked to make some salads. Handy brother is in charge of making a trifle so I suspect I may be enlisted by him to help with that too. We missed out last year, obviously, so it will be very special.

Fell asleep quickly last night, but woke up around 2ish and then lay awake till gone 5. Woke again around 7.30 and feel very lethargic this morning. My get up and go has certainly gone 😫

    Good morning all.
I hope you enjoy your trip @Topbird.

My latest baby grandson is being christened on Saturday afternoon, then we are all (family and a few friends) going back to Son 2's place for a party. He's hired caterers for finger foods. Family are invited back on Sunday for lunch, BBQ and salads. I'll help make salads. Sounds as though I'll be enjoying the same sort of day as @Ladybird4! Some of the family are staying in B&Bs or at Son 2's house.

  • LB It’s good you’ve introduced yourself to your new furry friends.  They’ll probably be friendlier when you feed and water them.  Enjoy your lunch today with your friend at the Sea View, sounds lovely.  Topbird have a good day, see what tempts you at the shop.  Busy you’ll be looking forward to the christening.  Have a lovely time.  I’ve done a sm shop and made a cup of tea.  Now time for lunch.
