Debs, I think you are going to have a great BBQ today but just watch those UV rays. Have good days all of you but kick back and enjoy plenty of cold drinks.

Good morning all. Up early to prepare for bbq I think I will get out the paddling pool for the little ones. I am also setting up an indoor eating area with fans . Yesterday was too hot for me though I slept ok. Hope you all have a good day, keep cool and hydrated everyone

Morning LB, Debs and all to follow. It was very hot last night 🥵 slept better than the night before though.
Its beautiful outside, but such a heavy dew. Just walked round the garden and my feet are wet 😂  I was going to sit outside and drink my tea, but the seats are soaked too. Never mind they'll soon dry in this heat.
Enjoy your BBQ @debs64 paddling pool is a good idea, you can always dip your feet in.
Have a lovely day everyone, plenty of sun cream and drinks. 🌞🌞🌞🌞

    Good good morning all.

Having said I coped with the heat yesterday, I slept badly, too hot and the cockerel seemed nearer.

We are garden visiting again today. There is an NGS garden open that sounds really pretty, north of here, but a bit of a drive.

    Morning all.

BL - lovely garden pictures. Which village was it?

Ante - another fine harvest. You do very well with your vegetables but we know how hard you work to get good results.

I harvested the first of my autumn fruiting raspberries (Polka) yesterday. Just a handful but they were absolutely huge and very juicy. Due to all the rain I guess. Yum!

It was warm here last night but not too hot. I can get a much better through draught with the new windows which really helps. Have been having several nights of disturbing dreams though. They wake me up feeling very agitated and I'm left lying staring at the ceiling for an hour or so while my mind calms down. It's exhausting.

Today is going to be around 30C so I'll be staying indoors until mid afternoon when a deeply shaded area develops in the garden.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Morning all,

By echium - it's already pretty warm :o

A few weeks of this and I might get some fully grown tomatoes and chillies ;)

I'm hoping to get a trellis onto the shed before I start melting today so I best crack on!

Have a good day and keep cool folks.

Phewww  it's schorchio today. Its 35° in the conservatory 🥵
Thankfully we are sitting under the oak tree in the shade. All we can hear is the birds singing and the little water fountain.
