  • LB when I was in hospital my consultant advised to try and reduce paracetamol as taking too regularly can lead to them causing pain so you are wise to take them less often.  Rubee sorry to hear Jim’s emergency hub went off.  Have a rest today.  Topbird Harry is a lovely name for a cat.  I can picture your scene.  Hazel I hope you both get something suitable to pt the sign on.  I have cat duties of my own to be doing.  Bus your friend will appreciate the soft fish pie.  It sounds like a handy shop. At the risk of 'kiss of death' syndrome RosieBB, I haven't had pain as severe as yesterday since 2009 when I had gallstones. Sure I get aches and pains but I normally just shrug them off. I don't like taking pills.

Busy, I like the sound of your neighbouring village's shop. Definitely sounds like a gin palace. I'm sure that your friend will appreciate the fish pie.

I hope the baby bird is OK @Songbird-1. There is usual a worried parent about so best to leave them and remove any cats. What is "a sparrow hackman the roam"?

Afternoon everyone.  Off with Hubby to the hospital in a minute as he has to have an ECG scan as part of his post stroke treatment.  It's very hot here again, just managed to tidy up the raised veg bed this morning before it got too hot.  Went to get my prescriptions from the chemist and that's about all today.  Sitting in the living room in front of the fan keeping cool.
Thanks for all your lovely comments re the boys photo.  Unfortunately Gabriel was taken into hospital again in the early hours with breathing problems.  Think the heat has been a major factor.  No idea how long he will be in it will just depend on his oxygen levels.
Well done Ruby supporting your neighbour.

It is always best to leave baby birds where they are. If its making a noise its parents will find it. I just hope that the poor little thing is not overheating.
Hope the check up scan goes well Yvie but I was sorry to hear about little Gabriel. Lets hope that they get him stabilised soon and that he can come home again. What a worry that must be for you all.

My OH is a frequent victim of the technology making her texts look like nonsense, @Songbird-1 ;) I seem to have got better at translating them :D
