    Morning everyone,
Another beautiful sunny morning. It was very hot last night, woke up about 4.30 and couldn't get back to sleep.
Need to pop out to get a few things 'sco didn't deliver.  Will go soon, so I'm back before it really heats up. OH has his Zoom pilates today, he said if he gets to hot he will stop. He didn't sleep well either.
@debs64 ....agree with @Topbird Bamboo fencing doesn't last very long especially once plants have grown on it. Breaks very easily.  I do think it's bad of your neighbours to put up a metal fence without telling you about it.  Good idea of Topbirds to use panels instead, breaks up the dark colour and colours of plants growing up will certainly pop out against it.  You could use Obelisks  too.
@Topbird hope you have a lovely few days away and the weather is kind to you. Must admit you're braver than me, I couldn't go to a crowded place yet. Have fun.
Have a lovely day everyone, take care and slap on the cream

    Morning all,

Doesn't seem that much cooler at this time, but off out for a run shortly. I'm anticipating the odd bead of perspiration forming on my brow ;)

Best open the mini greenhouse and do a spot of watering first. The late night Cyril hunt was a success last night - a few more in the garden waste bin which is currently on the pavement awaiting emptying.

    Good morning all.

I wonder if the day will come when @Biglad can’t find a Brian or a Cyril.

Have fun at the music festival, @Topbird, but rather you than me, I’m still nervous of the supermarket.

Think I’ll try out the new pressure washer today.

I'm still rather wary of big crowds BL and SGL but this is a 3 day fund raiser event on a private site. Probably a maximum of 2 - 300 people there with an average age of about 60. So not exactly a rave event and the drugs doing the rounds will be paracetamol and Ibuleve...😜

We've been before and there's a really nice range of music from Ratpack to Ska and Abba to The Clash. The silent (because some like an early night🥳) disco is great fun. Everyone has blue tooth headphones and you choose one of 6 channels to dance to. Everyone dancing to different beats is hilarious to watch.

It's all very well organised with Covid passes required. As many performances as possible will be outside and marquees will have sides raised and will be 'fogged' every morning. We have wristbands to wear and can choose between a green one meaning you're happy to mix freely with everyone or an orange one which means that you'd like to maintain social distancing. I'll be opting for orange and I think the distancing will be respected. If it isn't I'll take my chair and sit outside and listen from a little distance.

I like the idea of the wristbands.

  • LB an amusing picture.  Hazel Im glad your appointment went well.  Debs I hope you have a good day at work.  Biglad I hope too there won’t be a major spike.  Topbird enjoy the festival, ear plugs at the ready.   I think it wise to opt for an orange wrist band.  Take care.

    @Songbird-1. Sorry I don't understand your last post🤔

Hi @Pauline 7 - good to see you. Yes - you have to wear a wristband anyway to get into the performance areas and we think the colours are a nice way of politely asking people to keep a slight distance.

@bluebellsinthewild - 🤔 earplugs are not a bad idea. I usually end up with a bit of a pounding head - due to the volume of the music rather than excess alcohol😇

    I'm not sure either @Topbird

@Songbird-1 - just realised - were you referring to my comment about panels lasting longer? I wasn't using your name 'Hazel' in that sentence - I was meaning that panels made from hazel last longer than those made from bamboo! 🙃

Soz for the confusion if that's what you were referring to🙂
