Good morning all. Very hot at work yesterday even with all the fans on it was 32 degrees and we were busy. Looking forward to cooler weather and a weekend in the garden everything is overgrown and untidy. Weeds are rampant and stuff needs dead heading too.
Yvie hope hubby’s eye can be sorted is it anything to do with the heat? Always a worry with eyes I think. Fingers crossed. LB, bluebell and big lad enjoy the cricket not a fan but it’s a very summery sport I always think.

Morning everyone, The sun was shining when I first got up and seemed slightly cooler. Now its clouded over and feels very hot and muggy again. Slept very well thank you @Chivetalking Read a few pages and started to nod off thankfully after sleeping for awhile downstairs 🤦🏻♀️😂 Glad you had a lovely day with your mum. Good Morning Hazel & SGL Hope you get all your odd jobs done before it becomes too warm, the refuse collection is a problem such a pain having to take garden waste to the refuse centre, SGl Glad you got back to sleep you must have needed the extra forty winks, Hope Topbird and OH have a good journey to Kent and a wonderful weekend.
Another warm one here. I've done the early, Friday track session and have another running around a field appointment later Think I might run out of steam before teatime!
Nothing negative to report in the garden today. Blueberries starting to ripen, tomatoes increasing in size, the (now) normal handful of strawberries picked for breakfast and most plants putting on good growth. All is well
The sun has come back out and it's now schorchio 🥵 Have been out in the garden to deadhead and pick some more sweet peas, which are going absolutely bonkers. Picked a few tomatoes too, but have now come back indoors as it's far too hot at the moment. Even to sit in the shade under the tree. Thank you @Chivetalking think the broken nights this week caught up with me. The forecast from tomorrow isn't so good, rain and thunderstorms. Don't mind if it rains overnight, helps water the garden and hopefully makes it cooler. But looks like we're in for a wet weekend. Hope you have a safe journey @Topbird and the weather is kind to you. Have fun.
