Sis in France has just texted me to say that her son, his OH and 3 children are on their way out to join them but it has been a logistical nightmare involving cancelled flight, change of airport, swapping of car hire. Originally the children didn't need a test but as of last night they do. Rules seem to be changing by the hour. Sis and bro-in-law drove down and all the 'necessary' paperwork was ignored, all Border Control wanted to see was their passports. She reckons that they are as fed up with it all as we are. I'm glad that nephew and family are getting there though.

At least they're on the way LB. Who changed the rules, the UK or France?

SGL, I agree with you about Queen, not my favourites by a long way, but I love Opera. When I was young I liked pop music, but now I'm not young I prefer classical music, but I still like the music of my youth, Beatles, T Rex, Status Quo etc.

I have no energy, was going to do some weeding and plant my plants but back aches and I don't feel like it. I've been drawing plans of the flower beds instead.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Busy, it was France who changed the travel rules.

Hi folks.ย  It's been a lovely day here, nice and cool.ย  Got a fair bit done in the garden sowed some lettuce, radish and salad leaves and did quite a bit of deadheading.ย ย
Bestie came round to show us her new (to her) car and we had a cuppa and a gossip in the garden.ย  Was hoping for some rain (it was forecast) but no joy so far so watering again tonight.

    Evening all,

I'm too pooped to party tonight. A few hours dozing in the comfy armchair lie ahead ;) It wasn't anywhere near as hot this afternoon but still too warm for running around a field duties :oย

Good night RosieBB. I'm signing out too for tonight. If you are lucky and the skies are clear where you are you will get a good view of tonight's Thunder Moon. It will be quite a while until the next one. It seems to be appropriate after hearing some of the weather forecasts from around Britain.
