Goodnight LB, Reading of your experiences where no one has stopped to help or checked to see if you’re alright that is shocking. I don’t know how they could do that, shameful behaviour.
Sorry to hear that your brother is suffering Debs, I do hope he gets better soon.
We had a good evening with our friends, haven't had them for a proper meal, not counting distanced drinks in the garden, since before Covid. We had a thunderstorm and a downpour earlier this evening. Glad it happened before our friends arrived, they would have been soaked coming up the front path.
Must go to bed, going to Specsavers in the morning to collect my new glasses.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Alfie’s still asking for his treats so that’s a good sign. Hazel thank you Alfie’s eating and drinking and using his tray but has a very sensitive tummy and is on specific food. Just keeping check he doesn’t need a visit. Staying up just in case he needs me. They are a worry as you say.
Debs I’m glad your daughter has made progress but sad to hear your brother is no better. I hope this improves over the next few days.
Busy I’m glad you had a good evening with friends and that they didn’t get soaked in the thunderstorm.
Lily, as Hazel says, the poor village. I hope they get assistance.
Good morning. I’ve been watching the Olympic swimmers and Adam Peaty has won a gold medal, a repeat of his achievements in Rio 5 years ago. I feel half asleep. Alfie has gone to bed. I’ve had an early breakfast and I’m just going to have a cup of tea. I hope you all slept well.
Good morning all. Lovely sunny day forecast here and guess who agreed to work all day? I will be glad when the staffing issues are resolved but realise we are not alone with the current “ pingdemic “ Sounds as if some of you are enjoying the Olympic coverage. Not my cup of tea but nice to win medals.
A very good morning early birds RosieBB and Debs and all to arrive later.
Heavens above SGL! Or should I say heavens below looking at that picture? I hope you've got your waders ready - just in case. Still as dry as a bone here. Rosie BB, I was watching Adam Peaty and those tiny skater girls. Sleep was interrupted again last night but at least there's the Olympics to watch. Sorry to hear that Alfie is not quite on top form RosieBB but neither is Lily. I might try and get her to the Vet's this week to get her checked out. It may just be the heat.
Debs, a busy day ahead for you by the sounds of it. Lets hope all the customers are polite and pleasant.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone, Still raining 😫 the garden is now so very wet. Just looked out of the conservatory door, the grass is like a bog and the plants especially the Rose's are completely battered. Petals everywhere and stems hanging over from the battering of such heavy rain. I'll have to try and get out and take down the hanging baskets. Water is still dripping out. Thankfully we're not flooded outside like the photo above. I think its because being a few miles away and surrounded by woods and farmland its soaked up the water. Bet our duck pond and stream at the bottom of the close are overflowing though. Have a good day everyone, hope you're all dry.
Good morning Rosie, Debs, LB, SGL and all to follow. Thank you all for kind words 🧡🧡!
Debs, sorry to hear about your daughter and brother. I'm glad that she is feeling better. Have a nice day at work.
SGL, I can use your rain here. Finger crossed that you will not have problems with flood.
Warm and humid morning here. Nothing special in schedule for today. My sister brought me a small bonsai kit with several tree seeds, maybe I should give it a chance. Situation here is looking little bit like pre pandemic time. At least "The British are coming"😁 I heard on the news yesterday that last week 162 planes from UK landed in Croatia.
