Morning Debs. Those sweet peas are beautiful - I can smell them from here (I wish!). What a kind gesture to give some to your neighbours and sister as well. You are sharing the love.

Morning Hazel, you snuckered in. We are only decorating the 100 bottles that will stand on the tables - one per guest - into which the single roses will go, so we are not working with flowers. I decided to take advantage of the day and have put Lily's TV on so I will water later. I think Hazel, if you take things slowly you might get some light tasks completed. Lots of hydration needed for ourselves too - as well as our plants.

Early bird start for me as we had to take Hubby's car into the garage. It keeps over revving when we change down the gears. Sometimes it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off.
I've already fed all the veg and pots, deadheaded and weeded some of the back borders. Wont be doing much more as it's really hot again.
Love those sweet peas @debs64 haven't grown any this year. They were my mum's favourite too. I always used to take a few to the home.
I haven't had any news re Gabriel this morning his Dad finally stepped up to the plate and stayed with him last night.
    Stay cool and safe everyone.

    Good morning all.

Apology accepted, thank you, Hazel, but there was no need to apologise!

Maybe you were really tired @Ladybird4. Enjoy the flower club celebrations, sounds fun.

Beautiful Sweet Peas, Debs, wish I could smell them. I did get to smell some when we went garden visiting.

We are lucky in Norfolk, not as hot as in the West, there was a cool breeze last night.

I've changed the sofa covers this morning, in the washing machine. Great idea of Ikea's to sell separate sets of covers so you can wash them. Why is OH's side so much dirtier than mine?

No need at all to be sorry Hazel.  I get everyone mixed up on here, once I've gone 'over the page' so to speak, everything seems to disappear from my brain.

BL it's the same with the bed linen, Hubby's side always gets dirtier than mine.  I have those covers from Ikea on the sofa in the conservatory they are great.

At least you're remembering to press 'Post' @Yviestevie ... I know I said Good morning to you all earlier on today ...

So Good morning again :D ... (I blame the heat ... and being 27)  ;)

LB your etoile violet te and sunflowers are looking very healthy, very nice.  Debs you’ll be popular sharing the flowers.  They all look lovely girls, not forgetting the men folk and their garden endeavours.  Busy so handy to have loose covers.  Hazel we can all be forgetful.  Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Afternoon all. Just enjoying a reviving cup of tea in the shade. It's certainly hot again but there is a breeze and some cloud cover which makes it more bearable. I can also hear distant rumblings (yellow warning for thunderstorms) so might be making a dash to close the hatches in the motorhome and campervan soon...

Been very good and got on with jobs this morning. I weeded under the new hedge and the back of the adjacent border (all in verydeep shade) while OH sweated it out cutting a section of the main hedge. Wouldn't normally do it on such a hot day (not good for either him or the hedge) but I've just had to order some oil for delivery within the next 7 days and the hedge was restricting access to the tanks.

Taking it a bit easier this afternoon. May paint my toenails in a bit - it must be summer🤪😎😆

Yvie - fingers crossed Gabriel can come home today.

Lovely flowers, so nice when we see a reward for our labours isn’t it?
Not very happy because neighbours ( not one of my lovely older ladies) have put up a new fence dark grey metal very industrial doesn’t suit my garden at all so guess who will be buying bamboo screening come pay day!

    Afternoon all,

Agreeing to running around a field duties today wasn't my finest ever decision. By echium - 'twas warm :o

I've recovered enough to be slumped in the comfy armchair in the cool (comparatively) front room. I suspect a late siesta is imminent ;)

I'll try and get outside when it starts to cool (comparatively ;)) later on. Things to do but not much motivation at the minute :D
