Country parson must be really good to have your appreciation.. some scents even if DA mentions as med-strong they are equal to most strongly scented ones..
regarding Scentimental.. I was wrong.. once she opened up a bit in the afternoon, she had a strong rose scent.. unlike the fruity flavour of austins...
..I thought it should, from what I heard.. so much depends on temps, time of day, age of bloom..
..The CP is best when butter yellow, when it fades to a creamy white, the scent is not so evident.. 'Tahiti'... 'Hume's Blush Tea Scented China'... 'Francis Dubreuil'.. 'Botzaris'.. we don't deadhead once blooming roses.. there's no need, and we might get hips later on..
'Scented Garden'... the scent from the stamens, or filaments, is of cloves to my nose.. ..another fragrant bloom from 'Mme. Legras de St. Germain'... 'Florence Ducher'...
... this is no exception and I've been growing it everywhere for 30 years.. it blooms for about 4 - 6 weeks max.. usually mid May to end June.. occasionally a few later blooms in August, but rare.. I look forward to it every year..
@Lena_vs_Deer .hi Lena.. thanks so much, and for looking in here at my garden.. great to see you.. and on the other thread too.. your pots are gorgeous on your deck.. do you have 'Bolero'? I can't get it over here but I've long wanted it..
