Thank you. I have this bed which is my herb bed (oregano, thyme, small bay tree, chives and previously also parsley there... and spreading mint). It's south and east facing, very sunny. Unimproved soil. On the other side of the bed, there is a flowering cherry, dwarf bamboo, small camellia that's seriously unhappy there (the cherry and the bamboo take all moisture) and two blueberries, which also aren't exactly happy unless I water them a lot. I am thinking about putting 'General Schablikine' where the blueberries are, I think it could be happy there. And I would need something very drought tolerant, sun-loving and low growing for underplanting. On the other hand, this area sometimes gets temporarily flooded in winter. The herbs are ok with it but maybe it would be too much for something like cistus. I'll have to think about it a bit more.

    .. @edhelka
..you might find your Parahebe does well there... I have it all over this garden, in full sun, drought and shady moist places..  the only thing it can't take is temps worse than -8C as I noticed my plants suffered at that temp, which seems to be approaching its limits..   remember with Parahebe, you can just break off bits from the plant, 2 or 3 inches or so,  and put them where you like... they should all take..

Marlorena Can I ask what kinds of plants you feed in your garden? Is your dry and gravel gardens left to their own devices?

... yes, I don't do anything to those,  I think the whole point of dry and gravel gardening is that you use thrifty plants..

I really only feed the roses and clematis..

Not so warm out there today...
