I find Helianthemums last about 10 years, and this 'Wisley Primrose' which is one of the best, needs replacing as it's got very woody.. I shall take this out after flowering.. I have another waiting.. this is a gorgeous one to have though, and can't be without it.. .. next to it in the south bed Dry Garden are these Geraniums 'Russell Prichard'.. nice long flowering season from these.. ..in the same bed.. more 'Mme. Antoine Mari'.. I couldn't resist.. ..further along in the central bed.. my first bloom 'Lady of Shalott' just the colour I'm wanting for this hot flavoured bed.. Rhodanthemum 'Marrakech'.. has been flowering since early March.. I have 3 Helianthemum 'Ben Ledi'.. planted as repeats in this border as I love the strong colour effect.. this one is marked by the darker central blotch on the flowers..
@Molamola .. thanks for looking in.. it certainly smells so, to me.. but not everyone might like it, or the flowers.. it's a matter of taste like everything else..
I'm liking Botzaris @Marlorena, is this a new rose for you? I looked at this as a possible white for my new bed, but not really sure what to expect with a Damask rose, so am following your assessments of this rose with interest.
@owd potter ..yes it is new to me.. so let's see how it goes later in the season health wise, as it's a once bloomer, .. rain resistance is quite important to me, not that I get a lot here in summer.. ..do you have 'Desdemona' in your garden? I can't recall..
Desdemona, no not yet. I want this but it was sold out when I made my late bare root order, so is now on my wish list for this year when back in stock. Also on my wish list is Gruss an Aachen and I'm thinking maybe Pearl Drift too.
loving all your updates.. on night shifts, so trying hard to keep up with both threads.. interested on Humes blush for its tea fragrance.. do you find the scent strong? as its mentioned as medium by Trevor white.. not that I have much space, but will be added to my wish list..
