Good morning to you too Debs, you also snuckered in. I remember taking my Mum to DA many years ago and it was just glorious. I haven't seen my bats yet but I do keep looking.

Still need to order my DA Roses  but waiting to have the door put in the back of the garage.  😕
    Have a lovely day everyone

Morning SGL and Chive. My allium is Allium siculum also know as Nectaroscordum siculum or Honey garlic. In fact if you Google it, it has loads of different names but it is very reliable.
Glad your throat is fully recovered SGL.

  • Good morning LB, Debs Lily, Rubee and Chive.  Bright sunshine here and a warm night.  LB my alliums haven’t appeared for two years now.  It’s good you got your compost.  Lily I’m glad you had a good day and the walk in the woods will have been very welcome.  Hazel I’m glad your dental appointment went well and I hope you’re comfortable.  Chive Alfie was sunbathing behind the curtain this morning.  One of his favourite places.  Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Enjoy the new DA rose that you buy on Monday @debs64 :D

Looks like another cracker out there (when I finally make it to the back garden). OH and eldest left for 3 days working away this morning so I'm home alone until Friday. No interruptions or excuses - I can get up to exactly what I want ;)

Good morning Hazel, RosieBB and Biglad. I've just come in from hacking back the ivy I have growing on my front wall near the door. Its an annual task I love doing and I'm glad I decided last year to lower it a bit. This meant that this year I could reach all parts (did have to do the tiptoe action for the top little bit) without resorting to getting out the ladders. Its amazing how many, snails, woolice and spiders live in there. I should do a study.
Is it just in my garden or have others noticed that there seems to be an absolute plague of green/blackfly this year?
p.s. @Biglad, thats fine as long as you get rid of all the evidence before they return!

Morning all.  Just popping in to let you know that I have just read that large areas of the internet are down.  Incase any of you are having problems.  Not got any more news except that Amazon is one of them.

@Biglad I will try to resist but I think I will struggle.
@Chivetalking the wedding was a success and now he has more booked in he will be leaving the job he has where he has to live there all week and will be home again every night which will be wonderful.
LB I have lots of black but not many green aphids, the elder is covered but I am finding lots of ladybirds 🐞 too so hope it balances out soon.
Never gone in for alliums but maybe something to consider next year as they seem popular.
